What Fitz said hurts me. I've missed 1 game since Denny Green took over, that includes Sun Devil. I screamed myself hoarse, as I do every game. I'm not sure why, but I take that comment personally. I'm proud of my small part in our home games, down to my red sea themed Cardinals license plate.

Didn't watch the video (and can't)- what was the quote?

He was asked about the crowd and said, "Do you mean the Raiders crowd?" and then laughed a bit. Too much is being made of it really. Whiz and other players praised the fans post game. I can't blame them for not liking that many opposing fans in the crowd. But, it is what it is here. Some teams are definitely going to have a presence in the stands here for a long time to come.

I'd say more serious than smirk, but there was a smirk.

If thats all he said I think you and Shane might be making a big deal out of nothing. Sounds to me like he was acknowledging there was a strong Raider contingent. Is anyone really denying that at this point?

I think three factors played into this.

A) Cards black Jerseys (i watched as they panned on TV and saw alot of Cardinals black jerseys that most would think are Raiders to the untrained eye)

B) Poor start to season and all the Warnerphiles having moved on to new fads like Silly Bands and Jersey Shore

C) The fact that there are alot of Hispanics in AZ, Hispanics like the Raiders and Cowboys the most out of any team so poof - Every Raider fan crawls out from under the wood work. PLus they haven't played here in a long time.

Oh well. Whether there was 20K or 10K, they all went home losers. See ya in another 8 years clowns.

I saw Umenyiora, Brady, Hasselbeck, Urlacher jerseys to name a few

That's just really weird. I've never understood that. I'd never wear a Cardinal jersey to a Texans v Colts game.

My buddy's girlfriend was in a pink Matt Forte jersey.....FWIW ;)

How the heck did Matt Forte merit a jersey?

Is he one of those no name RBs who had 200 yards vs the Cards and 12 yards in 3 years against everybody else?

:D

The guy behind me had a Favre Vikings jersey on. He was at the Minny game last year. Every once in a while, I would make a crack about how the Cards destroyed Favre's "confidence" and ruined the Vikings season. I didn't give him too much grief though. He was cheering for the Cards, not the Raiders.

Perhaps if the Cardinals played better, the opposing fans would have less reason to cheer...

Perhaps if the Cardinals played better, people would be less likely to sell their tickets.

Perhaps if the Cardinals played better, it would be Cardinal fans that paid 3x face value instead of Raiders players.

Perhaps if the Cardinals played better, opposing team fans wouldn't think it was worth their time to come.

I see nothing wrong with what either of them said. Innocent comments from 2 of our best players who wanna see the house packed with our own. I've heard worse from other teams complaining about their fans before.

He was asked about the crowd and said, "Do you mean the Raiders crowd?" and then laughed a bit.

Actually he stuttered and stammered "Which crowd? The Raider crowd...or da...or da...or da..."

Hopefully he's taking some speech classes at UOP. :D

At least Joey Porter praised the Cards' fans and said how important we are at each home game.

I agree. The Raiders haven't been any good in a long time, so it is hard for cardfans to use that as an excuse (if that is the case, which it is not really).
