Our Coach would cut or kill their career if they did! thats my point! not theory its fact,
What ?
Killed Matt Leinart's career ? The FACT of the matter, as you like to say. Is that Matt Leinart couldn't beat out Kurt Warner, Derek Anderson, and Max Hall. The only person who is killing Mr. Leinart's career is Leinart. Matt was given chance, after chance, after chance, and did not step up to meet the challenge.
Players are in control of their own destiny, just like you or I. If Mr. Leinart or any player is waiting around to be given things based on draft status, or their own conceived worth then they deserve to be passed by on extensions, starting positions, and other situations that allow their careers to progress.
I do not know about you, but did support Leinart throughout his time here in the desert. I wanted him to start this year, and wanted him to start the year the Cardinals went to the Superbowl. Each time I was wrong and the right player ended up starting.
Max Hall's game against the Saints was about as good a game I have seen from a non-Warner QB. He played about as well as I have seen Leinart play over the last two years. It would be utter madness to go with an entitled, over-paid QB who has the same skill set as a hungry, UDFA.
You wanna be all upset over Leinart and his failure. Go complain to Matt Leinart about it. FACT: he is about to get cut from being the 3rd stringer in football. Deal with it.
If anyone screwed Anquan Boldin, it was his agent Rosenhaus. Told Boldin to sign his first extension from his rookie contract, to too long of an extension. Rosenhaus telling Boldin all the while, "Don't worry we can ask for a new contract at anytime."
Well the Cardinals don't work that way. And for you personally, I have some advice. If you expect the Cardinals to change their ways about this, you should go find another team. The Cardinals are not going to extend players that have 2,3,4 years left on their contracts. Unless it is under very, very special circumstances.
Now granted I feel for Anquan Boldin since he was really the first guy to challenge this, and was the Guinea pig for showing how the Cardinals do business, but at this point any other player that negotiates a contract with this organization should keep that in mind.
Blame Whiz, Graves, and company all you want. But it is the way things are done around here.
FACT: The last 4 years have been the most competitive this organization has been in the last 25 years.
Treated Deuce like the anti christ cmpared to say the San Diego Charger holdouts. Deuce waited without a contract and signed, worked hard and earned his starting job back the hard way. Deuce and his agent also kept their mouths shut while Whiz lead the charge to kick him in the groin, every other day.
This is the best one yet. Love it.
Exactly where and when did Deuce Lutui become an All-Pro guard ? Most overrated player on this squad, IMO. From what I have heard he is a mouse fart away from having Rex Hadnot come in and play for him if he doesn't keep his weight under control.
How is calling out a player about his weight, again something this club has been doing for a while now, see Alan Branch, Gabe Watson, Darnell Dockett, etc., etc.
Players get extensions for their superior play on the field, their work in practice, and their buying into the system.
Lutui has said nothing ? When the Cardinals were cleaning out their lockers after the Saints loss last year, he was front and center about questioning the front office of this organization and their want & ability to retain players.
Lutui then went on to hold out for most of the offseason, and not only that come in over-weight.
The "kicking in the groin" as you put it, was what ? Whiz saying that Duece was over-weight ? Which Lutui was. Whiz saying he has players in line to take over Lutui's position ? Which Whiz had.
That is a kick in the groin ? Actually, the FACT is, that is an untrue overdramatization.
Lutui shot his mouth off first, over-priced his marginal talents, and then though of his own selfish needs and wants before the team.
And again he is not a Pro-Bowler, not even close.
As for him being a RFA. He is one of many, many players that were denied a big pay day, and free agency status when the player didn't agree to go back to the table and have a salary cap.
The players where informed on exactly what was going to happen, and they did it anyway.
So, it is their own damn fault, they didn't get a big payday.
FACT: The Cardinals, just like the other 32 other organizations in this league, did what was in their rights to do.
Breaston, Lyle and Patrick signed their RFA contracts, screwed out of their earned after a SB/playoffs 2nd contract payday. CBA throttled them but Whiz got a new top 5 paid 5 year contract and alot of team control along with it.
He stepped right on their throats and killed what he couldn't crap on. He signed 33+ year old past their prime ex steelers for huge money and left our drafted cards talent just hangin out there for the least effort he could.
He's sitting at the big coach/GM table and needs to get his mind right.
Again, the players new exactly what was going to happen when they didn't agree to another cap. That is their own fault, and the Cardinals just did what all other 32 organizations did, and chose the best option for themselves as an organization.
This is a business. Just like Lutui has the right to hold out if he wants, just like Boldin gets to trash the organization for more money, just like Rolle, and Dansby leaving a place where they were appreciated, and were going to get paid, it is a business.
If you want our organization to bend over the table and give into every want and need then fine. I don't. I want our organization to field as good of a team as possible. The Cardinals are doing business like the rest of the league does. Finally.
As for Alan Faneca ? LOL, sorry this is just the most hypocritical statement in the entire post.
Scream to the high heavens that the Cardinals never jump on oppourtunities cause they are cheap. Then when they do, that player is now horrible, and a seed for "they paid this guy and not me". Seriously ?
How about we push Whiz in the pool and yell at him for being wet while we are at it.
Now that I addressed your "FACTS"
I have a couple.
The team we have this year, has the talent of a "Dave McGinnis" club. While McGinnis would produce 4 to 5 wins with this talent. Whiz is already at 3-2.
With talent like Dennis Green had on the field, the team was winning a whopping 5 to 6 games a year, and with that talent Whiz went to the Superbowl.
I think we have a good coach, and should give him the benefit of the doubt.
As a summary, it seems to me you want to give a lot to players that just have not earned the right to have their big day, a big pay day. It doesn't work. See Washington, and Dallas.
Finally, this "Fact" stuff is getting old. They are not facts, and just an abrasive way to present your thoughts and opinions.
FACT: It is annoying as hell.
