Get real, Jake is benifiting from a easy schedule right now and no injuries.

Wait until the going gets tough, even Bickley doesn't want him back

By the way he has also had his standard 2 fumbles per game already!

Jake has an easy schedule? What about us? We have an easy schedule and still screw up.

You jinxed him, Plummer fumbles inside the 10 yard line blowing the drive!

Detroit is down to 1 healthy CB and Denver has guys running wide open on every play. That said Jake has looked amazing today other than the 2 fumbles. He's even hitting Sharpe repeatedly.

I still feel compelled to point out he had 6 years, never played well, and is only playing well now because he's on a great offense that has opened with 4 weak opponents in a row. But I am amazed at how well he's played the first half of the last 3 games.

Bengals, Chargers, Raiders. Despite the pre season hype, these have to be three of the worse teams in the NFL right now.

You are looking at the pre season "strength of schedule" which with parity is alomost wothless these days. 20 years ago in meant something but not now.

It's alos relative, the Broncos have a better squad than us all it will need is some pressure and Jake will go back to his usual self. Good grief he has had 1 good game and people are anoiting him as a football god. What about his first to games ?

Uh, the Broncos are only ahead by 4, and should be by more. I wouldn't put that game in the bank for them just yet.

I am not a Plummer backer or basher, but he has looked pretty good, now that he is with a quality NFL franchise. As we all know, while a quarterback is a significant part of a winning formula, he is only a part of the equation. Plummer seems to be finding a comfort zone in Denver. Who knows....maybe their first game, where they won inspite him (or his lack of production), helped him to realize that he can play within himself. Because now, he is on a talent laden, well coached NFL offensive team. Honestly, the prerequisite for the success of any NFL QB.

Also, while the Broncos are extremely talented on offense, they have talent on both sides of the ball. And again, are well coached. With the talent they have, they will more than likely be able to overcome mistakes from their QB. The Cards do not have, nor have had the talent to do so.

Both the talent and the coaching are the result of an owner who is passionate about winning.

First I would appreciate it if you DIDN'T SHOUT AT ME.

Second, before today we had the 4th rated offensive in the NFL which is hardly a bad thing.

We are just so young and beat up that we make mistakes. For once though I see a GM who is working on the problem rather than making knee jerk reactions.

How did Jake play in the first and please don't respond with the fact that the Broncos won. Yes they did, but it was inspite of Jake not because of Jake.

The 3rd game he played well but it was the Broncos ground game that carried the day.

How many Ints has he had so far today ?

Never played well? Geez... I remember the CARDS being in and winning a playoff game with Jake...

25 for 34 - 277 yards today... Oh! and no Clinton Portis.

They've designed an offense around his strengths, which wasn't done in Arizona with any consistency...

Blake would be 4-0 as the QB of the Broncos, and Jake would be maybe 1-3 here.

So, the point is......?

And here is why.
1. Why have palyers that have been cut here like Darwin Walker, Mario Futafahi. Become strters with other teams, and have preformed well if not pro bowl like.
2. Sim. Rice now can play the run.
3. Cory Cevous (sp) now can play the pass.
4. Jake now looks like a Pro Bowl QB.
5. Needney when not hurt can kick the ball into the end zone on kickoffs.

Well here is why and I don't think even you can dispute these facts.
1. We are still feeling the effects of the Buddy Ryan.
a.) We fired him and brought in Mr. Tobin, fired him but kept his staff.
b.) Mac can motivate but really can't coach as a head coach. the only real coach he has is our OF.
c.) The same damn owner.

Nidan....if you mean by handcuffing a coaching staff by not bringing in good enough free agent talent with the dollars available to spend, and this resulting in losses that cost the coaching staff there jobs as "working on the problem rather than making knee jerk reactions" then you are correct...however I think it is this kind of thinking that gets some yelling at you. This Gm screwed up and has all but admitted it by stating he misjudged the market. Not much can be done now accept watch Mac and his coaches go down in a blaze of glory....and it truly pisses me off that anyone would make an excuse for the the Front offices miscues. We reap what we sow and so far it is not a bunker crop.....

I guess the only point of your non-sequitor is that you are obviously a Hall of Fame prognosticator... do you pick winning Loto numbers too?

I seperated these are they are two seperate things you conviently rolled up into one cheap shot.

We brought in 7 FAs out of the 9 we went after, that sounds like trying to bring talent to men. Problem was we aere too shallow to solve the problem in one offseason and you know it.

Not had we been a little luckier and not lost some key players to IR, I think we could have been contending for the playoffs. As it is we will need luck as well (not to mention Bryant and Big back from injury). But I suspect uop know this as well.

As for the cap money left over, that has nothing ot do with the first part. It isn't there because RG didn't want to spend it. It's there because there wasn't sufficient talent in the FA pool to make it worth spending it. It will be better used in resigning players this year and free up more cap $$ next year.

Before you rant at me about people like Hugh Douglas, at the time we were not so thin on the DL. By my count we have one DL on IR and 2 inured and inactive.

A healthy Starks would help thre pass rush as well, that's called coverage sacks.
