Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Marvin Harrison is under investigation in his hometown of Philadelphia in a shooting that took place late Tuesday afternoon, a source close to the investigation told Anthony Gargano of Philadelphia's WIP Radio.

The shooting reportedly occurred outside a North Philadelphia bar owned by Harrison.

Harrison has yet to be arrested or charged with the crime.

The source said the alleged victim came into the bar, Playmakers, around 5 p.m. and engaged in an argument with Harrison, who was at the bar. The victim then left the bar, heading to his car, with Harrison following. Gunfire broke out, the victim was hit in the hand, and a young girl was slightly injured by flying glass from a car that apparently was hit by a bullet.

Police came to scene, but the victim did not identify a shooter. On Wednesday, according to the source, ballistic tests showed that the gun that had fired the shots was a custom-made Belgian weapon, and police determined that Harrison owned such a gun.

Police then went to a Philadelphia car wash owned by Harrison to question him about the gun. Harrison admitted owning such a weapon, but claimed it never left his suburban Philadelphia home.

However, the source said the gun was discovered in a bucket at the car wash, and tests showed that it had fired seven bullets that matched those found at the scene.

The source said police were contacted Friday by an attorney representing a second alleged victim in the shooting, and police are now waiting for that individual to come forward.

Calls from ESPN to reach Harrison, his agent and the Colts for comment had not been returned.

1. What the hell is a "young girl" doing at a bar?

2. Don't mess with Money Marvin.. He's going out with a "bang" since he's knees have been getting some serious bone-on-bone action the past couple years and he can't do anything on the field now.

If I made 1/10 of Harrison's contact I think I would have such a (crap) eating grin nothing would ever upset me again...

Where did it way she was at the bar? She was near the car that got shot. She could have been walking by.

Thtat's alright. OSU still has you guys beat. They just arrested a former Buckeye for attempted murder on a police officer yesterday. Two officers were trying to serve a warrant at a drug house and were shot.

I always thought Marvin was a class act.

Say, he did do it, that would mean he was away from the altercation and then went to the person in question and fired his weapon. Thats attempted murder. WOW

From the details of the story it seems like he is royally screwed!

But it is a newspaper so who knows.

I am still shocked by this. Harrison always seemed like such a class act and very reserved.

Of all the places to own a bar, why would he pick North Philly? There are two places you don't go in Philadelphia ... north and west.

heh - i really wonder what they mean by north philly - the area off rooselvelt could be considered north philly, but with it being such a big road there are some areas that aren't that bad and some bars present (like chickie & petes)

i can't imagine he'd be hanging out at his bar in a string of collapsing row houses in kensington.............

My first experience of Philly was in 2003. Saw a bloody body in front of an ATM about 3 miles west of the stadium. Police were roping off the crime scene and taking photos of the recently deceased when I drove by. Even living in Mike Vick's old hood (Newport News, VA) I never saw any murder scenes (though there were daily killings in the greater Norfolk area). Yeah man, Philly is rough.

Witness is coming forward to state that Marvin shot the gun. He tried to get rid of it at his car wash (the car wash that MARVIN OWNS). He WILL be doing time for this one....that's one dumb fool.

Wow!

If someone had given me the story and said "Guess the name of the NFLer involved, I am pretty sure I would have gone 100+ deep before guessing Harrison.
