If we don't get a cornerback in free agency and Rolle is off the board I think we take Adam Jones because of his cover skills and return potential. Again that is if we don't get a CB but I feel we will end up with Henry so I don't go RB in the first round.

I'm listening to SD at 12 - with all those extra picks they have.

Houston at 13, Carolina at 14 need OL help here. KC - 15 would love to have DJ here.

I'd go one of these get another 3rd (at least) and hope Jones or Rogers last a little longer. One at least should.

Then we pull the trigger on the Henry or Bennet trades.

If we don't trade for a RB, I think we draft one here. If we do trade for a guy like Henry, I think we go CB.

That was the question I posed, if Benson and those CB's are on the board and we haven't traded for one yet (RB), what do you do?

Those who voted for CB's explain what your option is now?

Those who voted for PacMan or Rogers, do you believe they're worth a #8?
I don't. They should go somewhere like 12 or later, IMO.

Benson just doesn't do it for me. He's not what the offense needs, IMO. I'd take Brown in a second, and I wouldn't flinch at taking Cadillac, but I don;t like Benson for this offense.

As for what I'd do with the RB position: I'd either take one later (this is a very deep draft for RBs. I like Kayjay Harris in with our late 3rd rounder), or go with what we've got. I really believe that if our Oline gets it together, Shipp and Hambrick will be okay. If the Oline doesn't get it together, we're going to have trouble no matter who we get.

I'm not sure what you're asking here. What is our option for what? CB? RB? I explained the options for RB above. Options for CB? We need more than one CB to come in and contribute right away from this draft, so I'd take one in the first --hopefully Rolle, but in this scenario either PacMan or Rogers and another later on day 1 (Perkins, maybe? Maybe even Browner, Webster or Jackson in the second...that's right: CBs in the first 2 rounds).

I think they probably are. No way to tell for sure till we get them suited up against the big boys of the NFL--same with Rolle or anyone else you're talking about taking here, IMO.

Yea I'm asking those who want a CB in the 1st, what their RB option is.

So, I take it you'd hope that Buffalo caves in for the straight up Shelton for Henry trade?

We should go with the best athlete in the draft at their position.

1) That would be Derrick Johnson.
2) Matt Jones

I'd trade down if I could.

I'd pick Johnson in a heartbeat if I had to make the pick. But, with no resigning of Hill, or picking up Henry or Bennet in a trade, I don't see how we could afford to do it. So, I would trade down 4 to 6 spots.

Exactly what I would do and you still get Rogers there IMO. I just don't see anyone picking him that high. No one! And you get another 3rd! That would be 3! And you still got Shelton to play with.

1. (13) Rogers - CB
2. (44) Arrington - RB
3. (75) Ellison, Castillo or Bryant - DT
3. (78) Keamoutu - G
3. (95) Perkins - CB or QB - Walter, Orton

Is Benson the next Suggs?

They both dominated on the college level but didn't blow anyone away with their 40 times at the combine. However, you look at the tape and see that you don't post those type of college numbers in Division I football without having superior talent. I'll be happy with Benson.

Actually, no. I'd rather keep Shelton. Like I said, I'd either take a RB in rds 2 or 3, or just go with what we have on the roster.

Ok I guess that statement confused me on what you would do. YOur happy with Shipps comeback attempt, Hambrick and whoever we can scrounge in the 3rd. Shipp would be the key guy however. I don't think he's what Denny wants though back there.

Carlos Rogers will be the Arizona Cardinals starting cornerback this season.

Reach onto that...................

Call it uninformed and ridiculous, I just don't like players who include their nick names in their title. Where is Dig Dug Smith, Asteroids Adams or WWF Plummer? Although, didn't "He hate me" go on to some success with the Panthers? ;)

I think CB is so much more a priority than RB (or should be) for the cardinals it's not even funny. So is the offensive line depth for that matter (who is backing up the starters right now? Doesn't it scare you a little bit that beyond the starting line --which in places is a bt suspect to begin with--Bridges and Leckey are the key backups?)

There will be a guy in the second or third rounds that will be able to come in and start for us, and if there isn't it's not like we don't have any options left. Shipp and Hambrick are capable NFL backs.

I voted for CB Jones. Not only do we get a cb but we also get a dangerous return man, something else this tea desperately needs.

Then I pray Arrington is still there at #44. If he isn't, THEN I make the trade for Henry, unless a guy like Fason or Morency has impressed us enough.

We don't need another #2 cb, which is what we will be looking at if we wait until the second round.
Dunta Robinson, DeAngelo Hall and Chris Gamble were all projected to go like 18th or lower. They all had an impact and will continue to do so for a very long time. Rolle and Jones both grade out higher than the 3 player mentioned.

They're capable, but not what Green wants at that position f/t.

Yes the RG and interior of the line concerns me alot. That's why I see them taking either Brown or Baas there (#44) or a RB since more than likely they'll go CB in the first. iT'LL BE a dilemma whether to go G or RB there. Alot of folks here want Keamoutu as the G pick in the 3rd however. But Brown and Baas are money. But we do need that breakaway threat!

I would hate to see us draft a corner and use him on special teams. He would be our #1 corner and to me it would be a mistake to play him on special teams as a risk of injury is just to high on a returner. Also I have read some articles where Pac-Man might be available in the bottom 1/3 of the first round.
