The Eagles just cut Kevin Curtis. He has been banged up a lot the last couple years, but has (or had) the ability to stretch the field as a big play threat. Something we don't really have. Was clocked between the 4.2s and 4.3s when he came into the league. He is a smart guy (highest Wonderlic test score ever I believe), and high character. I obviously have no idea how his health would check out, but if it was decent I would take a flyer on him.

If he comes at a reasonable price why not? I seem to remember some people around here loved him, me not so much but he'd be a decent 4th WR IMO.

I recall the pass over the middle in the championship game where he blew past everyone, and due to the angle DRC managed to knock him out of bounds.

I like him... if healthy

Mark Whipple who was an offensive assistant for the Eagles two years ago (and was Whiz's QB coach in Pittsburgh) before taking the OC job at the U (Miami), absolutely raves about Curtis and his ability.

Get this done, Cardinals!

Let someone else sign him unless he wants to do a heavily incentive laiden contract but right now I think injuries have done him in.

Nobody brings up Onrea Jones . This kid looked great in pre season last year.

Yeah you are right. He has a legitimate shot as we have 2 WR roster spots open...Boldin & Urbans. I wonder if he can return punts?

That's not true. Rugby and I have brought his name up a couple of times. I hope he makes the roster

As for Curtis. Sure, why not? He's certainly not a starter, but is sufficient enough, especially in this offense, to be a back up.

I would love Onrea Jones to stick this year. I thought he was more impressive than anyone outside of Fitz, Boldin, and Breatson (Early was hurt) last preseason. That said, we need more than one receiver and I don't know if we have the luxury to keep a special teams only play like Morey around this year.

Whatever happend to that UDFA punter returner we drafted last year? Didn't he get hurt in the preseason? Is he still on the roster?

Just remembered his name. Michael Garvin. We cut him and the Lions signed him. He's on their active roster.

I was really hoping Onrea Jones would stick last year already, and really want him to make the squad this year.

It would be nice to have Curtis too-----as I recall the play where DRC had the angle to push him OB. If he could be had reasonably, I say go get him, so long as he still has the skills and speed to play. Even if he is injured for part of the season, he still might be that one guy, for that one play, in that critical game, where he gets by everyone. Nice to have. Remember Q was injured often too, and still contributed above his salary's worth.

Good point TJ. Too often we think our #3 or #4 guy needs to be a Larry Fitzgerald and we all know there just ain't too many guys like him.

I'm liking Marcus Easley in the 6th. Could turn into a good player down the stretch with good coaching.

D. Alexander will slip in this draft most likely to the 3rd round. We could use a talent there especially if we get an added comp pick in this round. He could be a a sleeper 1st round talent and has tremendous size, speed, and hands. As a 4th receiver his injury bug should not be a worry. We do need a burner like Curtis(if he still has the nitro) but a big target that can get the ball would be a great assest.

I wouldn't mind bringing in Curtis for a physical. If our team doctors clear him he should provide another good option in our offense. But, right now that is a pretty big if, as I think injuries have really derailed his career. If he can recover however, he could be a pretty good bargain.

I like him too but at best he'd be the 4th receiver on this team! I think he'd be better off signing back with the rams. He'd be the 2nd or 3rd receiver there.

He's not even faster than Urban..... pass.

Curtis would be nice for providing veteran stability, but not if he'd use up too much cap space.

O Jones and Gant both looked good last year, but what I'm really hoping for is that we steal Dickerson in the 3rd or 4th round - but as a big WR instead of a TE (He's only listed at 226, is short for a TE at 6-1½ and runs a 4.40).

Our top 3 wideouts (Fitz, Breaston and Doucet) are solid enough that we can afford to play around a bit with our #4 and/or #5.
