Indeed Michelle was beautiful but Cass Elliot was wonderful as well. They produced some great music along with other members of the The Mamas and the Papas. I don't listen to their music much anymore but I sometimes wonder why. I happened to bump into this video when I was searching for something else. It was a delightful experience hearing California Dreamin' again.

Cass had a beautiful voice and was a vital piece of that group. No shade towards her.

I have to laugh at the lip syncing on those old variety shows. Production back then is hilarious. I remember on Soul Train and American Bandstand that the drummers would pretend to hit the drums but just keep the stick from hitting and the guitars weren't even plugged in to anything.

This guy would have been a country legend had he been on the radio in the 60's, 70's or 80's. This isn't his best song but it's typical of his style and it's a little like watching an episode of Criminal Minds or some other procedural.
