Lowest we can finish is #9, highest is #16...

So Cards can't do any better than 9th but could pick lower than 17th? Would need 3 bad teams to win their last game to move up and for the Cards to lose.

We beat Carolina, so they own the tie breaker in this one. So, wouldn't the lowest pick we could have is 10th or is that out the window with picks?

If the Cards lose to Seattle, we finish at 7-9. This would guarantee the #12 pick, I believe......yes/no?

Head to head has nothing to do with draft order. It's purely strength of schedule.

KC, Buffalo, and Carolina all have a stronger SoS so if they finished 7-9 with us we would move ahead of them.

We could pick #17 or #18 actually, becuase if Tennessee and Dallas lose and we win, they would have lower strength of schedule. Think about that, one game being the difference between 9 and 18!

Damn this creates such a conflict on Sunday. I know as soon as I see 45 grown men with that red bird on their helmets the blood lust will come again and I will want the Cards to stomp the guts out of the Seahawks, but the difference between #9 and #16-18 can be pretty big. Especially if the front office is considering trading down to get back a #2 since we no longer own one for 2012.

There's certainly no assurance the Cards actually select the right guy at #9, but the pickings should be much better.

If we finish with the 17th or 18th pick, I would seriously consider trading out of the 1st round.

I know the feeling - well at least can relate to it

As a seahawks fan I love to see them win any division game and it would be great to sweep the cards, not have a losing record and go into the offseason with a W

As a seahawks fan I also like a lot of this rebuild, but a couple pieces are definitely needed and the difference can pretty much be like picking in the top 1/3 of each round or bottom 1/3 ..... pretty big gap of picks

the needs are pretty well known (QB, pass rushing DL, LB depth, OL depth, secondary depth, FB, Power RB depth)

so my head says a loss would result in the best chance to make a strong impact going into next year ... better draft slot in all rounds and currently 20+M under the cap ..... my heart says just get the stinking win

The draft is a means to an end and not an end in itself.

You don't lose so that you can draft higher/You draft guys so tha you can win more games.

How about this deal: Graves calls the Seattle GM (don't know his name, sorry), and offers to trade first round picks right now.

That way, the WINNER gets the higher pick. That would be ballsy, and the right thing to do. Both teams are 7-8, there is no advantage (well, of course we have home field)
