We're thin at FB (the Shermanator backed up by no one). But Dray is technically a multi-positioned back up as TE, H-Back and FB. Should Dray get injured, we can bring up S Skelton from the PS.

Yep and then you add in how much Heap and Housler are nursing nagging injuries and it's easy to see why Skelton is on the PS squad.

@Cardschatter: The two "unknown" practice squad names now known: CB Larry Parker and WR Isaiah Williams.

This is all I can ever think of when they say his name.

Good, like both of these guys. I'm actually a bit surprised that Parker wasn't picked up by someone.

Not unless he makes the active roster, in which case he'll have to pay.

Besides, because it was Leinart, I wouldn't be surprised if some of the veteran defensive players (and perhaps some front office guys and coaches) all chipped in (and then some) to reimburse Lumpkin for the fine. :D

After the whole fiasco with the Saints.. I can guarantee that won't be happening anytime soon.

What is this fascination with Gideon? He can't play. Too small and too slow for the NFL, and never makes a play. I've never seen a guy who is around the ball as much as he is who never does anything. Gideon played most of the game against Denver and did nothing. I don't think he even got his uniform dirty.

I'll take Rashad Johnson over him any day.

Right there with you!

So he got one end zone interception on a horrible throw by the QB. That's it.

I made a point of watching him against the Titans because of guys herein talking him up. Two punt return plays in a row Gideon shadows his assignment all the way down the field but never attempte a block. On both plays the guy he was assigned makes the tackle, pretty much at the spot the ball was caught. A back up DB that doesn't know how to play special teams is about worthless.

He did the same thing against the Broncos. The guy knows the game inside out. He just can't play it. Can you say Coach?

I don't think the Cards ever watched a minute of film on him. Just saw that he started 4 years for Texas and signed him. But then the Cardinals are the same team that drafted Gene "the Coke Machine" Chilton from Texas. In fact they've made a habit of drafting the wrong guys from UT. The only reason they got Acho is because they read all my posts on ASFN about him.:p
