Stephen Williams. Wow. How a 6'5 guy with speed went undrafted boggles my mind. He is definitely on the roster.

Max Komar - I've watched him in camp and all 3 preseason games - the guy just catches everything. Hope he makes the roster.

Leinart - 135 QB rating tonight.

Corners, DRC and Toler, one pick each.

Max Hall, he only played a few minutes, but looks like he just has it between the ears. I am looking forward to game 4 when the rooks play more.

The game was not nearly as close as the score.

I'll add Deuce Lutui to the list. As soon as he came in, the running game started becoming productive.

Agreed, he needs to start. Too bad we appear stuck at the other guard, Faneca can't pass block, Wells can't run block and you can't alternate them.

Switching Wells back to his original side too.

I think we're well beyond whether he makes the team or not, the question is whether he's the 3 or the 4 given that WR is one of the toughest postions for a rookie to learn.

Chances are he'll get plenty of time as the 3rd WR with Doucet struggling to stay healthy.

Leinart is far & away the star of the game. He came in with a lot of pressure on him & looked outstanding. Cut Anderson & keep Hall & Skelton!!

Think about it for a bit. ML was VERY GOOD but DA didn't have an outing that deserves getting cut. In fact DA player rather well. Keep all 4 and cut Monty or..... some other so so player.

I don't see keeping 4 QBs. I still think the decision has to be made between Skelton and Hall. I think Skelton has inside track due to the draft situation.

And it's not like The Coach might surprise me with a decision at QB. sarc

I'm wondering if the people championing Anderson in this thread watched the same game I did. Yeah his numbers look good. Yes he threw a TD. But IMO his numbers were built on the spectacular play of Williams (caught a pass behind him, the TD was all YAC) and he is the vaery definition of inconsistent.

I mean it is MADDENING watching a guy who has been in the league as long as Anderson and playing football as long as he has, has NO CONCEPT of how to lighten up his touch or throw the ball exactly where it needs to go. Yeah he went 7-12 but 2 of those completions were horrible throws and others he missed were absolute head scratchers.

I still think we are choosing between two pretty mediocre QB's at this point but Matt completlely outplayed DA IMO from start to finish.

Saying that I am not sure he is going to end up starting Week 1. I am more convinced then ever Wiz just isn't a Leinart guy. After seeing many of this choices Wiz has made while watching these preseason games, it almost like he doesnt want him to get numbers. Its counter intuitive but seems to be true. I can't understand why Wiz wouldn't go for it 4th and 1 on the 50 or leave him in there for the rest of the third quarter. I would think he wants to give Matt more confidence but it seems like he pulls the plug as soon as Matt starts to get on a roll.

I guess I could be wrong but it's JMHO.

I think Whis took Matt out b/c he did so well that Whis didn't need to see anymore.

This! ^^. Also I would like to add that Matt made a great throw on the out to Williams who came back to the ball perfectly.

A lot of plusses on both sides of the ball. DA/ML, Williams, Campbell, Toler, and others. The QB play was excellent, and this is a good sign with Fitz and Doucet both out. Amazingly, the WR position may not be any weaker after losing Boldin with the new acquisitions and increased roles for the others. The running game underperformed, but picked it up in the 2nd half, a couple of nifty runs by THT. Not the best game for the Bean, but there will be better ones ahead.

And Beanie and THT both dropped passes that hit them in the hands which would have made him 9-12.

That ball to Hightower was in no way an easy catch. I also only remember Beanie dropping 1 pass that was later in the game after Anderson was already out(maybe I missed an earlier one though). Regardless Anderson has a career comp % of 53%, and you pretty much know you're not getting an accurate QB if you play him.

I'll give a shout out to Big Gabe "Lo-Fat" Watson. I never saw a QB try to hide between the blades of grass before, but when he saw Gabe coming right at him he was hugging dirt and trying to disappear.
