Being one of the first to predict the outcome, I have to resist the urge to do a Bong - 4-0 Suns!

Since you're asking for an honest prediction without the fan glasses,...

I know the Suns will fight till the buzzer in every game, but the Laker's size and defense will be hard to counter.

A key will therefore be the possible return of Robin Lopez. If he can contribute straight away, we might have more than a fighting chance.

At the moment I have to go with Lakers in five. :(

As a realist, I have to pick the Lakers in 6. If the Suns can somehow manage to handle their size, they'll have a fighters chance. But I just don't see it.

Hoping they prove me wrong like they did against SA.

I picked suns in 7, and thats what I believe it will be. Game 7 blow out win for phx (will have a 20+ pt lead and LA will make a small comeback and we'll win by about 12 pts)

Suns in 6.

Why?

a)We already faced better defenses and looked pretty much unstoppable on offense.
b)We play good team defense and the score remains generally close throughout the game. Leaving the game in the hands of the three point shooters , who seem to have in every game.

Keys to the game. Getting on the break and playing our pace against their big men.

This is exactly what a lot said when we faced the Spurs. We were able to handle their size by double teaming and hussling back at open shooters. I thought we executed amazingly well on defense.

Man, I'm shocked to see Suns 4-2 running away with this one. I thought we would beat the Spurs pretty handily, and we're really hot, but I just don't see us beating the Lakers in a series. The Spurs had one legit big man, the Lakers have 3. We'll have to have some amazing 3 point shooting, and the bench will have to play an epic series for us to beat the Lakers. I hate to say it, but I don't like our odds.

I think It will go 7... And if I am being honest winning game 7 on a sunday on the Road in LA, may be to tall of an order, so I went with Lakers in 7..

The nieve fan side of me says Suns in 6 though :D

No one has predicted a Lakers sweep yet here though... Donald must have not voted yet..;)

I knew that the Suns were a better team than the Spurs. I was very confident in my Suns in 5 prediction.

Picking the Suns against the Lakers is 52% homer glasses.
I picked the Suns in 6 because I don't like the prospect of a game 7 in LA.
Get a split and win your home games.

From what I have seen of the Lakers they are not really playing that well. The Suns are on an upward trend and improving. The Suns have better team chemistry and a deeper bench. They will need to keep shooting well and get RoLo back to protect the paint.
They will need to improve their past performances to beat the Lakers but I do think they can do it.

SHOCK THE WORLD!

Suns in 6. Suns defense is better than the Jazz IMO. I watched every playoff game of the Jazz and were truly unimpressed. Key is to stop Gasol and you can have some success. Can Gasol or Bynum stop Amare? I don't think either is mobile enough to guard him.

And its not homer glasses when your team had the best record in the Western Conference in the second half of the season. The Suns are legit, if it hasn't been proven yet then I don't know what to say.

Honestly, Gasol and Bynum can easily be soft at times.. Its Lamar Odom I'd be afraid of because when he gets hot and on a streak its so demoralizing and its hard to win..

Player by player starting 5 wise lakers win that 3-2 meaning they have the better player 3 times whereas we have the better player 2 times.. BUT that means nothing because of chemistry, bench, morale etc..

Suns bench> Faker bench by a long shot.

Jazz is useless, is there anyone that can say with with a straight face that the Jazz played better than the Spurs. Sheesh they cant buy a bucket even if their life depended on it. OKC was so much better than them.

Ginobili put it best when he said there was always a man on me even when I went around a screen, and if I went around that man another man would be there. The Suns played terrific team defense. I hope it can continue.

The guy I'm also afraid of is Odom, Shannon Brown, and Kobe.

Truly hoping JRich is the scoring aggressive beast against the Lakers.
