Easy to predict.

Whisenhunt as head coach:

2007 8-8
2008 9-7
2009 10-6

So what record could the Cards have for 2010 other than 11-5?

Unless of course you are like me and count week 17 vs GB as an exhibition game and the first round playoff game as game 16 instead so that the Cards were really 11-5 last year.

10-6 - outside chance of 11-5 if we beat the cowpukes.

Cant make a decision until three huge questions or fears play out in training camp and preseason.

1. How does the CB position play out. Is Toler the guy the coaches keep telling us about or will Mike Adams be starting. If Adams is starting we are in huge trouble.

2. How fast does Williams and Washington acclimate to the NFL. If it looks like it will take either one longer then 2-3 games to get a lot of playing time. They don't have to be starting but taking away a lot of snaps away from Lenon and Robinson.

3. Matty????? Will he show the confidence needed to be a starter and will the absence of the quick release of Warner bring out OL crashing to earth.

Depending on those questions being answered I can see anywhere from 6 to 10 wins.

Joe your too smart my man.

1) injuries, we've been pretty blessed in this area for the past few seasons...they are a killer of good to great football teams.

2) How fast does this revamped Oline jell? Remember 4 of the 5 starting spots will probably be new starters. Teams will stack the line to stop #34 & #26 until #7 proves he can make them pay!!!

3) The D...I still have concerns at CB, ILB & OLB. While the talent looks better on paper, this D hasn't proved jack squat in years without getting turnovers.

Until they prove me & Joes question marks wrong I'm going with 7-9.

Btw-only once since the realignment of the NFC West, the Cards-Niners have only split once...so, chances are good for another sweep in 2010 & hopefully not by the enemy because those 2 games could be the deciding factor this season.

In a van...down by the river.
Best case: 10-6 having to beat out SF in order to get in.
Worst case: 6-10 Leinart completely flops and the defense can't win games.

My prediction: 8-8 missing the playoffs.
IMHO

I'm also leaning to 7-9 or 8-8 unfortunately due to run defense and we won't have that third down to First down ratio we had with Kurt. We're a year away on defense and a couple players.Offense is all up to Matt and his acuracy and becoming quicker in his decisions,of which I fully believe he CAN do eventually. Also love Skelton as a future Whiz STUD.Cardinals are here to STAY!!!

Granted a lot could happen between now and Oct 10, but I just don't see this team beating the Saints.

NFC West champs
One and done in the playoffs this year.

The Cardinals won't forget the cheap shot Warner received & this is a HOME game. Not only will we beat them, but we'll beat them easy (2-3 tds). The Saints D will be awful this year.

based on...? Not many Greg Williams defenses have been awful!!! Plus, their explosive offense makes their defense that much better just like the Cards the last 2 seasons.

Maybe "awful" is a tad bit harsh, but an explosive, quick scoring offense doesn't necessarily make a defense better. If anything, defenses tire out with that style of offense. Saints will not be as good as last year & it won't be because of their offense. We will beat the Saints in our house, count on it. And we'll score 30+ pts in the process.

Hope your right but I just don't see how we can stop them...at this point of the offseason. In beating the Saints, you better get to Brees...alot!!! Unless our outside pass rush has dramatically improved with Porter, Baggs & Cody Brown our lack of coverage is a big liability. We will see...

Agreed! Also, 30+ points might not be enough for a win. Their D wasn't statistically good last year, but with that offense it doesn't need to be.

Guys, this is an easy one to predict.

1. In the playoffs last year, our secondary was decimated with injuries.
2. It was in THEIR house.
3. They went head hunting on Warner
4. They ran up the score on national tv.

Whisenhunt will be very quick to use those facts to motivate our squad. The Saints will have a HUGE bullseye on their back all season. Hell, by the time October rolls around, Brees may be done for the year. If he isn't, we will punish him severely. Pay backs are a bitch!!!

12-4, i feel delusional posting that though. We will probably have one stupid loss somewhere to an AFC West team, I just can't pick one. Probably Oakland just to piss me off to start the season.

7 - 9. Don't have confidence in Leinart and defense is only average. Hope that I am wrong.

11 - 5.

Whisenhunt's trend continues. Cards win the Super Bowl this time round

Early in the season, the 49'ers are called the best team in the NFC. 6 games in the debate is when they'll sit Alex Smith.
