Wow.

1st the Cardinals are going into the trailer for the season, preseason game, with multiple questions to answer, and about 10 roster spots yet to be determined.

Questions about redzone offense, pass rush on defense, and a multitude of other things.

Yet, there is a little more spice to the game because we will be playing San Diego, and stop me if these words are a little too familiar, whom is currently in the process of learning the system.

Whose system ? Come on! how do you not know by now ? The Wonderful Whizard of AZ's system!

It works, as we all know. All it needs is a quarterback, as we all know.

I don't see how we have a chance!
:sarcasm:

LOL, The Wonderful Whizard of AZ.

Pay no attention to that man behind the center, he is old and only plays well cause we taught him how to wear gloves! The Great Az has spoken! The System Works!

EDIT: I did NOT put that tag on this post. LOL!!!!

San Diego is in for a rude awakening when they find out that, with The Whiz & Co., that they have the NFL equivalent of Heath Ledger's Joker from The Dark Knight Returns.

This adds a nice bit of spice to an already interesting game. My guess is that we will see the real starters this week, and they will play the whole first half. It will be good to see them get some game-time reps together. Who starts at RG, (Colledge or Faniaka)? My guess is Colledge, (but that is no more than a guess).

I am anxious to see the O-line and the rest of the 'ones' get a lot of reps together this week and during the game. Time to build some continuity into this roster. Selections should be pretty well determined by now. Would like to see the hick-ups gone by this weeks game time concerning red-zone play, (or lack of it). Am getting a little anxious to see the offense smooth out some and start putting points on the board. They need to join the 'D' and 'ST's' sooner rather than later at this point.

I think they are going to wish they had Norv Turner back. Though they had a down year, they had a decent offense for a number of years there.

Put Matheui on the field for the 1st play of the game and just tell him there is a 95% chance it will be a waggle pass to the fullback in the flat.

Just like it always is.

And anytime it is 3rd and long they are running a draw.

I really, really, really hope we shut them out. At least no touchdowns and no plays over 10 yards.

I'm really excited to do my write-up for this game! 1's should be in for at minimum the entire first half and should see some 3rd quarter action. I won't do a write-up though until the day before.

Really expect our DL/OLBs to get pressure in this game with how putrid the SD line has been.

Hmmmm....30+ year old QB a lot of people think is washed up. Could be a Super Bowl in SD's near future.

If we had Rivers, Turner and CKW the Kool Aid would be flowing like Niagara Falls around here. :p

Dang, San Diego's offense of 2011-2012 with our defense over the same time!!! 35-10 every Sunday in our favor. :koolaid:

So your saying we traded for the wrong California QB? ;)

BA might regret letting Horton walk when all is said & done.

I'll take Whiz over Arians everyday, and I like Arians. Give Whiz a QB and his teams have always won. The change in Arizona to be excited about is getting rid of Graves. He was the problem, not Whiz.

Thats a bold statement my friend. To me, Arians knows football, knows how to motivate, and knows how to communicate. I like his demenor 100% better than Whiz. Arians makes some really intuitive comments sometimes that builds my trust big time. What he did in Indy only validates my perception of him.

That being said, i will never disrespect Whiz because he brought the Cards inches from a Superbowl victory and argueably the most exciting Superbowl in history. For that, i thank him and he gets all my respect.

Hope he does well in SD..

As long as Whisenhunt doesn't pick the QBs, he can probably be ok. He did fine when he had elite QBs like Roethlisberger and Warner.

This might be more of a test, this season, to see if Rivers is truly an elite QB more than anything about Whisenhunt,.

Bah. Nothing matters but when the games count. If we start 0-6, Arians will be at the level of dog turds. As it should be. Whisenhunt almost grasped the big trophy for us all, because of Warner. If Arians can't get this team to the bowl, he is crap compared to Whisenhunt. But, he picked these QBs, so it's on him. Whis didn't sign Warner, but he did make him the starter over Leinart.

I don't care about anything besides winning in the postseason. That's why Whis and Tobin are #1 and #2 in my book for Cards coaches. REally, who gives a crap about training camp and preason if you go 7-9 or worse in the regular season? My buddy was all excited we beat the Cowboys Saturday, but I just had to say that means "jack squat". Because preseason is a frigging joke.

The guy with control of the roster, specifically the QB situation, was a problem. The guys who scouted and drafted the 2nd and 3rd round picks who aren't working out also were the problem. The guys who signed all the free agents who were let go after about a year or two also the problem. To put that on Graves alone, and not Whiz and Keim, is kinda dumb, right?
