Stanton played well. That is pretty dang good for your backup and if he was on target more he would be a starter for someone... time to watch entertainment central Logan Thomas now and hopefully he will not throw 3 picks and lose our valuable preseason premier lol

I wouldn't say he played well. Was high and behind on a lot of throws. You are correct in he showed why he has been a backup for 8 seasons in the NFL.

If Palmer goes down the Cards are screwed.

Ok...that was a great opening half. Who stood out? Good and bad.

Palmer looked sharp. Both Brown wide-outs looked great. Everything on D looked pretty good.

As far as bad? Well, Cooper didn't look sharp. Stanton didn't look particularity bad per say but he had some balls that were a bit off target. Was anyone getting a consistent pass rush? I didn't notice.

I think he is good enough to spilt a few games if Palmer does not go down long term, that is the best any team can usually say of their backup... almost every team is screwed if the starter goes down, some more than others lol

That was a very good 1st half performance for a wk1 preseason game. Andre Johnson May want to sit out the whole season after seeing that offense.

Minter did a great job, he plays smart. Looked like he was reading the offense and determining pass or rush.

Agreed. Most teams would be screwed if the backup comes in (except maybe the Texans because Fitzpatrick really stinks).

But, I don't think Stanton could split any games. He is just not very accurate and would get the receivers killed throwing high and behind like he does (against first team defenses).

But, I'm OK with him as long as he NEVER gets in a game again :)

I thought he was a bit harsh on Cooper, but it looks like Arians has a reason to worry. Our schedule is tough, and we need a now guy from the very start.

It's rough reggea because players talk about their first camp being the hardest, Cooper"s first camp will be twice as long, and three times as hard when you factor in the injury. Plus he doesn't look fully healthy when it comes to the wheels, but Arians aint got time for that, he already gave him a whole year.

It's not Coopers first camp really. He wasn't hurt until the San Diego game in late August last year. So he had almost a full TC last season.

Agree, his passes weren't accurate. If our WRs weren't running wide open like they're dancing through tulip fields he would have thrown picks.

Surprised Lindley going in. I've seen this before. I want Logan.

That's what I'm saying, he had a full one last year and hopefully this year, before ever playing in a real game. Last year he was treated like and up and comer, this year he owns the dog house and I don't see that changing this week.
