The third quarter was amazing. I thought the team looked very lifeless in the first half and were a step slow on every defensive rotation - but they held the Nuggets to something like 15 while scoring 39.

I was glad to see Tucker play like he did in college. If anything, his low post moves are better than I remembered. Of course I only saw him against Ohio State with Oden. ;)

I like how the Suns are attacking the basket more. I don't think opposing teams are going to be able to chase the shooters like they did last year.

watching the regulars on both benches at the end was hilarious. they both wanted their scrubs to come up big.

seeing the suns bench erupt at DJ's shot was awesome. and nice ice in the veins on that shot. looks like he's really taken to coach d's "SHOOT IT!!!" offense.

I really like both rookies. During the last part of the fourth quarter, it seemed like Tucker was the Suns only go-to-guy inside. This would have been more enjoyable but it showed the Suns lack of an inside game off the bench. At least Marks seems to rebound well.

I don't know what to make of Skinner. I've always liked his inside presence but he seems injury prone in the preseason with knee and ankle problems. I'm starting to wonder if the Suns might cut him if his contract is not fully guaranteed. I hope not but one never knows. This is scary because the Suns need another banger inside.

Since the Suns may not even need Skinner until April, I wouldn't get too concerned.

Tucker's low post game reminds me of Q's in that he is mostly posting up smaller players. But he has some moves and seemed pretty comfortable with the ball. One thing that really impressed me was his 5 rebounds in just 5 minutes.

I'm not worried about Skinner's injuries long term but I am concerned about the Suns FO short term. They might be happy just to keep Marks which could make the Suns frontline very thin in regard to bigs.

I already know what the other top 6 can do, but Hill is looking really, really good. 17 points, 2 blocks and a steal, 6-8 shooting, 1-2 from the 3 arc, and 4-4 from the line. I think he's going to be really big this year.

With a little experience in regular season games, Tucker will be better than Q at low post. He simply knows how to play the game. His 3pt shots look quite ugly though.

I agree about Tucker. He made some nice post up moves yesterday, but that jumpshot is ugly.

That was actually a pretty fun game to watch, even when all the bench players were out there. It looked like DJ had a really tough time guarding Smith though. He got burned a couple of times pretty bad, but he also shot the ball well, and he made some nice moves going to the hoop. I was impressed.

Grant Hill looked really good out there. It was fun to finally get to see him in action.

Anybody watching/listening to the Sonics Suns game? Sounds like Hill is having another good game so far. Who says he can't hit the 3?

What's going on with KT in Seattle. Thus far he has 9 points in 6 minutes against the Suns.

What is more weird is only 2 points for the Suns bench thus far. Where is Boris?

Out with injury, I think they said ankle.

Thanks for the information. Where is the Suns bench? Seattle seems to have one.

I know LB is out and now Boris as well... but still.

Skinner injured his ankle last night against Denver so he's probably being held out too. That only leaves our bench with Banks, Marks, DJ, Tucker & Pike.

The Suns are paper thin. I wish the Suns would give Tucker a few minutes. Just 2 points off an NBA bench is ridiculous.

Amare is having a hell of a game (22pts right now before halftime). I wish I could watch it instead of just listening.

Agreed.

However, I can't help but worry about the starter's minutes in the second half.
