really? He wasnt more athletic and stronger then most of his college peers? ok, umm right.

He wasnt working with an oline that allowed backups a 6.4 yard average?

Look I hope something clicks, but he just seems shy to make contact and wants to bounce it outside. At his size he should be bulldozing guys.

If you cant see the difference in the way Beanie runs vs Williams im not sure what to say. Im not saying williams is better but he is tougher

That wasn't what you were trying to say. You were attempting to make an argument that he didn't have to be a physical runner because he could just run around and away from people...

If that's your position then, as I stated above, you did not follow him closely in college and don't know what you're talking about

Chris Sanders, you said that Bridges looked better than Keith and that you wanted to see him play ahead of Keith. Well most fans, I'm sure, would agree with you about Bridges playing better. However, I think the coaches know what Bridges can do, but want to see if Keith can hold up against the opponents' first teams' DE's. Remember, we go up against Charles Johnson in Week #1. I'm guessing they feel that Keith has more upside, but if he doesn't improve his play than Bridges will be starting on September 11th. JMO.

I think Keith's still dealing with residue from the surgery. His footwork wasn't where it has been for him. It'll be a little bit for him to get back to the point he was last year (where he was still learning).

Also, how could they call PI on Rashad Johnson if ball was a yard out of bounds?

I was thinking the same thing watching the replay. Does the NFL not have the "un-catchable" pass rule? Even Fitzgerald couldn't have caught that pass in bounds.

Normally that's where the Ref realizes what he's done and quietly changes his call to holding. :D

We don't have much of a sample size to work with so I dont think this can be considered conclusive.

I think Beanie is plenty tough, but has been bit with the injury bug his entire career (reason why he slipped in the draft). Many of us were not questioning his toughness before 2010, when he had knee surgery and our offense was a sieve.

Here is a Beanie highlight reel. I don't like using these to make an argument, but it shows several runs were he had to elude or muscle away players to get yardage:
