He says he needs 6-7 to get warmed and established. not 6-7 everyonce in awhile but 6-7 runs on the same drive establishing a pattern, physical presence, feel for the defense. Whiz puts players in the worse place to succeed, to see how they respond,

He got 20 carries last week.

And as far as featured back status, when did that happen?

yea

I applaud Whiz, but I would like to see Beanie establish himself and beat up the defense, maybe he won't? but 20 carries, in an out, compared to establishing the run. to play action off from, just like the saints did and do everygame.

THT has established the run rarely by himself, He has busted a big one and then struggled. I just beleive THT's best games as a pro was when Edge beat em up and THT came in with fresh legs.

Sorry but Edge had way more 100 yard games during tims time here. And Beanie has not been given the same oppurtunities that THT has been given. The Bean has earned the oppurtunity to start and see if he can establish himself as a premier featured back in the NFL.

Any other NFL team would have gave The Bean that chance very early and often his rookie year. not this in and out, maybe- maybe not crap.

but 20 carries is cool, I mean compared to the worse starting QB in the NFL passing 40+ times a game, make no mistake you can cover it with honey all you want, but We still have the worse starting QB in the NFL, and there are some very lousy QB's this year!

He got 20 carries last week.

Look I am not anti-Beanie, but how can you say he has earned it? Would alot of people like to see it? Yes! But so far he has not EARNED anything. Beanie was a 1st round pick, and to most people that automatically gives him that tag "featured back", but he has not done anything to beat out the man in front of him on the depth chart. I fully expect one day that will happen, but it has not yet. Whis has handled the situation maybe a little unconventional, but THT is the started and as we saw last year got less carries. So it really is not a big deal if Beanie gets the start or not, he likely will get that carries. Whis has stated he preferes a 2 RB system (as most teams do now). So for now what Beanie needs to do it break a tackle here and there. Not let a hand touching his foot be enough to knock him down. And make some damn plays. Once he does those things, he likely will get his time to shine. Until then we are in a tight division race right now and Beanies individual stats are second to the team being productive.

Now Now

i understand your opinion and respect it, But Beanie put up better numbers and was one of the best rB's by averages, they both got crap for carries and still do. But 5 + yards per carry on run downs in run formations earns a place at the starter table! It just does.

179 carries, lost 2 fumbles, like way better than any other NFL back and media and fans crucified beanie for 2 lost fumbles as a rookie, If He would have gotten AP's carries He would have gotten AP's numbers! But no were playing him in and out as a 2nd-3rd-4th or 5th option, A stupid after thought.

SEE GB playoff game first half domination compared to blow out by the saint, difference being THE BEAN!

See games we won in 08 SB season compared to the games we lost that year, difference THE EDGE!

THT was much better last year at his role, But He doesn't really matter as a featured back, maybe with more carries but whiz is allergic to the run game with the worse QB's in the NFL.

I predict it changes this week. And Beanie deserves to start and establish a physical dominance, It will help the team! He is a 3 down back and a playmaker.

Wells has broken plenty of tackles. But even better he as picked up extra yards with his stiff arm and by making guys miss. However, he does have the disturbing habit of letting a hand touching his foot knock him down.

Stumblebeanie?
