Highly disagree right back. Made some of the most clutch plays in AZ Cardinals football history.

This is why we all love him, but it doesn't make him worth more to anyone else. He fumbles a ton and even if he didn't, 20-something RBs with his skill set are a dime a dozen. Teams treat them like interchangeable parts now that everyone is using rotations.

What do you think he's worth, and what trade can you point to that's comparable?

Why wouldn't this trade just be done and we get screwed by his holdout?

Trades are not done until physicals are taken, if Holliday refuses to take a physical deal doesn't go through unless it is re-negotiated.

This from the Washington Examiner Redskins beat reporter:

yes, there is doubt about Vonnie reporting to AZ, as @russellmania980 reported earlier. Texted Vonnie about it; he said, he'd keep me posted

I think Holliday will get over the shock and come to his senses. Doesn't seem like any other team is gonna want him. It's either AZ or retirement.

He might be wanting to retire:

John Keim
From the NFL: If Vonnie does not report to the Cards, he would be subject to a fine under the terms of the CBA. #Redskins

VH might be retiring. He was likely going to be cut and if that was the case would either retire or go to the team of his choosing. We need def line depth. I say keep TH unless wash steps with a pick or another player.

Don't worry Washington, we will gladly take Brian Orakpo in place of Vonnie if he decides not to report!

Mitch, you are thinking with your heart and Jerry Jones head. We got a 3rd and 4th for Q and you think Timmy is going to get us what? RB's just aren't valued as much as most other positions.

I think we have one poster who is glad to see Timmy go, other then that we share your fond memories and appreciation for THT.

I hope this doesn't turn out badly:

The language and terms of the trade can't be "it's OK if Holliday doesn't report."

If he doesn't the trade gets nullified, unless the teams can come to a resolution.

Why does holliday hate the,cards?

Not in this scenario. The guy has played in the league 15 years...more than likely he's got one year left...and as the Redskins' player rep and under contract with them, he expected to finish the year in DC.

I can't blame him.

If the trade was to Baltimore---and he didn't have to move his family that's another thing.

THT is worth much more than a 5th round pick.

Ed is right on Mitch.....running backs today don't have the value they used to in the day....you can see it in the drafts over the past four years..no, good ones are not exactly a dime a dozen, but a whole lot closer to that than trying to find a hen's tooth, and Mitch you know that!!!

It goes in cycles and it's like the stock market, you never know when what position is going to be worth the big cheese. QBs seem to be the only ones safe year after year. Supply and demand.
