I know he probably won't be back and he tends to be somewhat of a black hole on the floor, but. . .

I don't know if I have ever seen a pro player with a better attitude on the bench. His minutes have been all over the place. He has gone from starter last year to common DNP this year AND it is a contract year and still he is constantly cheering and coaching younger players on the bench.

Its refreshing to see.

If he's willing to more or less ride the pine as injury insurance, I have no qualms about bringing him back next year.

As you said, he seems to be a great chemistry guy and still electrifies the crowd like no one else we have on the team (currently).

I like Gerald Green and I would like to see him back at the right price but I doubt it. Something has shaken his confidence on the floor and the confidence of the coaching staff.

I think he knows he's not coming back next year & he's trying to make the best of the time he's got left with this team.

For such an emotional guy, he's handled the situation with admirable professionalism.

The Suns have been blown up once already this year & I have a feeling this off-season that it's going to get blown up again. I don't expect Brandon Knight to come back, Green will be gone, and a bunch of guys who don't play will be gone... Thornton, Price, Barron, Bullock, Granger... that's almost 1/2 of the team. I wouldn't be surprised if Brandon Wright or PJ Tucker weren't here next year either.

I think Green drives the coaching staff crazy more than any other player on the team with his wild shots & complete lack of defensive effort & focus. Sure, the shots are great when they're going in, but when they're not & he's giving up easy baskets on the other end then he's gonna be in the doghouse a lot.

I think Gerald Green has handled the reduced playing time extremely well. I hope he goes somewhere where he gets to contribute and win.

The same thing for PJ. Both guys have been good for us, but we need to shake it up. Again.

Green has always been a crowd favorite, but It shows you how very little fans think of the remainder of the team, when the guy that gets the most cheers from the crowd is the DNP member of the team.

I do. Otherwise you basically threw away the Lakers pick. Although I don't think is as valuable as everyone else does. Aside from some horrible, horrible lottery luck I'm guessing it's going to end up in the 8-15 range next year. Of course, it's the Suns so you never know when it comes to the lottery.

I seem to be the only one that thinks that Knight was brought here to give the Suns a chance to dangle Bledsoe in the offseason.

Agreed. They did not trade the Laker pick just to let Knight walk. He is an asset that they control. Now, if they get a decent s&t offer, maybe. And such an offer might be possible.

Maybe, but the Suns don't seem to understand that if your strategy is buy low, you should hold onto the asset and let it mature before you cash it in.

I don't think it, but I hope it.

I believe we can't move on as long as Bledsoe is the Point Guard/quarterback/leader of this team. With him filling that role, we will forever be a non-playoff team.

There are too many negatives with Bledsoe's game for him to be the face of the team.
