Not sure how good this site is, thought it would be good for discussion. They have a list of players we have shown interest in during combine, senior bowl week, and so on, that they have complied from multiple scources.

I would agree their interested in Johnson from the U of A since he was pretty much the only draftable defensive prospect form the u of a and pendergast was at his pro day.

I think, if he's there, Woodley will be our second round pick...the first 3-4 esque player of the Whiz era.

I like Woodley. He's short for a DE but has good size.

No Okoye or Anderson .. ??? or Staley or Ugoh ..??

Okoye is listed at DT. Anderson hasn't really done anything in preparation for the draft (didn't run at the combine, didn't play in All-Star games) until today so his not being listed isn't that big of a surprise.

Staley like Anderson didn't participate in the combine or participate in All-Star Games and I don't believe Central Michigan has had its pro day yet. Ugoh did run at the combine so him not being listed is somewhat of a surprise.

Methinks this is interesting fluff. Fun to read, mostly nonsense.

My guestimate from earlier draft is that they're interviewet people who are options where they are drafting. Dansby and I believe Green said that they were surprised by being drafting by us, because we ad shown absolutely NO interest in them.

The reason for that... We didn't think they would be there.

I'm the opposite on Woodley. I think he will be a non-factor at the NFL level. He got by mostly on superior strength in college and that won't be the case in the NFL. He's been a beneficary of always having pretty good DT's next to him in Branch and Watson. Plus, throw in the fact that Michigan had a pretty stout LB crew in Burgess, Harris, and Crable and it leads me to believe that he is not as good as is being let on by some. I think Branch and Harris are going to be top-notch players at the NFL level but Woodley is going to struggle.

Next time you collar Wiz or RG, ask them whether they will continue or discontinue the DG policy of downplaying player interviews and not bringing prospects into the Valley prior to the draft?

There are two schools of thought: (1) the Buddy Ryan "you gotta look 'em in the eye" approach and (2) Dennis' feeling that most of these guys have been schooled-up "to give good interview" so that you won't learn all that much in 15 minutes anyway."

Just curious about which way the new regime plans to go with this.

Useless junk if you ask me. No Gaines Adams? Even if you didn't plan on taking him you still have to at least take a look.

Here is my dream draft based off of who the Card are "Supposedly" interested in:

round 1: Joe Thomas, OT Wisconsin

Round 2: Justin Blalock, OG Texas

Round 3: Ryan Kalil, C Southern California

The recipe for Instant Offensive Line!

Surprised Jamal Anderson not on this list. Yesterday he did some workouts for the pros at the U. of Arkansas. He had a hamstring pull during the first workouts last month. He was at full speed yesterday and I have not seen his 40 time yet but saw him run and he looked to be flying. There is a chance we could end up with this guy and he is no bad deal. Several prognosticators have him going to the Cardinals.

Anderson had a pulled hamstring at the combines. Worked out yesterday for the pro scouts.
