from ESPN.com fantasy player updates. from Rotowire.

quote:
Boldin is no longer speaking with head coach Ken Whisenhunt and the Cardinals recently rejected Boldin's second demand for a trade, the Arizona Republic reports.
Spin: Sources say that Boldin is considering walking out of training camp. This situation seems to be slipping out of control. Boldin is signed through the 2010 season and the Cardinals are unlikely to trade him this season. In fact, they still want to sign him to a long-term extension. Hopefully Boldin will be enough of a professional to keep this situation from impacting his performance, but that's not a certainty.

See ya. Have fun sitting at home and pouting. And he will officially become a hypcrite because he will have lied to the press, fans and FO about honoring his contract.

Tired of this B.S. What is the point he has been at, what, 3 practices?

I am so excited for the begining of the season, and all the other players on this team that I cannot fathom wasting my time worrying about one player.

Trade him, let him sit, sign him, whatever.

1 out of 53, and the TEAM looks good this year.

Trade him and sign Joe Horn. Joe Horn would be a great veteran pick up and he truly is one of the good guys of the league. I would love to get him and use Anquan being Anquan to help improve other areas. with Horn we would be just fine at WR.

I doubt he walks out. 15,000K a day? I don't think he'll cough that up. He can't make his point about being unhappy any clearer than he already has.

I've been pretty hush about the whole Q thing.

But if Q walks out of camp, it would be like one of us walking out of our job. I doubt we would get hired back on. Plain and simple, Q walks, he's gone.

much less the $160k or so per game in normal salary

and you can bet the Cards will ask for some of that $10 mm signing bonus he got a few years ago back

its the ultimate losing proposition

I dunno about fine.

Boldin is a AWESOME football player in many areas. If he leaves it will leave a gaping hole on our roster. There is no two ways about. There will be no replacing him. Anyone we put in there will be a huge downgrade, and personally I would not get to watch my favorite player anymore play for the Cardinals.

But the way the other 51 guys (take Rackers out of there) are looking and playing his abscence might not matter. And I am more excited about the whole team then I am dissapointed with the Boldin situation.

Plus it is just getting old. Shut up and play , or continue whining and sit at home. Just make up your mind and stop being a baby about it.

If he really walks out, which I highly doubt, then to heck with him.

Heres a bit of advice for Q. If you are going to leave, walk don't run....you might pull a hamstring.

I'm betting the source of that "rumor" is his agent. They're trying to get a new contract or a trade, the standard reply is we're not trading him, he has a contract.

The next logical step is to leak that you might walk out of camp and possibly not honor your contract.

I thought Q was tired of all the talk, geez, but Q did say he didn't say he wanted traded. A big freakin mess.

I can't believe any truth to this story - got to be contrived by the media. All Q has done in camp is tweek his hammy! We've seen him do nothing this season, so far. Under these circumstances, it doesn't seen rational that that he'd even be negotiating for a new K, much less thinking about leaving the team. The hammy ought to be rested by now. Wiz should put him put there against the Raiders and see what he can do!

And to think, less than four months ago, many were ready to use Fitzgerald as a pinata and were ready to ship his "selfish ass" out of town.

He never pulled a fourth of the **** Boldin has. But hey, Boldin's the All American Fan Favorite.. Surely he'd NEVER pull a stunt like Fitzgerald did.. Nah, he'll just hold the organization hostage, publically disrespect his coaches and the organization as a whole, then threaten to walk out of camp.

If he walks he is hurting his trade value. We would get crap offers. If he really wants to be traded he shouldnt walk. Fitz was a first rounder, thats the type of money you get. You are a second rounder and even had your first deal redone two year in. Very uncommon and 10mil guranteed. Just come out and say its all about the money Q cause thats what it is about.

And everyone is reacting to the "spin" on the unsubstantiated info.

I hope he hangs in there and doesn't walk out. He's the kind of hothead where you can't really be sure what he'll do next when he's mad. As I remember it, a few years ago in the Jacksonville game he got mad, took off his helmet on a bad no-call thereby costing us any chance at winning the game, went on to say essentially there's no way he'd ever apologize, a while later he went on to apologize and said he'd control himself in the future. I don't think there is any way to tell what he will do from one minute to the next when he's mad.

Personally I'm pretty sick of the drama. If he's going to walk out, I hope he does it soon so we can figure out how to move forward.
