Should we just call him "Stumpy" Sorensen from now on?? :D

Calling a guy 6'5" stumpy has a certain symmetry to it.

Dang, an accurate Skelton who can read defenses from the same conference as Neil Lomax' alma mater. Sounds like a perfect fit.

I thought that too when I saw it, as long as he does not have the hip problem

I sure hope he's like Lomax. In his 4th season he'll throw for 4,614 yards and 28 TDs and be our first pro bowl QB since Warner. :koolaid:

Don't worry about Mulli though. Since he started being an azz about Eli Manning, Manning has thrown 1 TD and 6 INTs. He's a better jinx than Shane.

Funny but on the bottom I missed: NFL comparison...John Skelton :D lol

Guys come on, lets quit grasping at straws & trying to take the cheap & easy way out like we always do! Find a QB that you believe in & move up in the 1st at mostly all costs & draft him! That's 99% of the time the way it's done successfully...quit hoping one will fall in our laps, cheaply because its not likely to ever happen!!!

Bucky, I hear you but my reason for posting it is not to find a cheap way out or a late round pick. I want us to draft the guy who will work. Be it Wilson or Sorensen. And if the scouts are sure they found their guy, who ever it might be from whatever school, regardless of what other teams think...I say draft him with the first pick and not risk losing him. I'm sick of us gambling late in the rounds because if we really believed Skelton or Lindley was franchise material, we would have pulled the trigger early. The quaterback postion is paramount as we all know. The fact Skelton and Lindley are taking turns starting is insane, because their draft position to me reveals where the team had them rated. I don't think you ride the whole value thing when the QB position is involved.

Sorensen stands out on the highlight films. He seems to have a great arm and the ability to know when to gun it and when to throw with touch. He looked very opportunistic and in charge of the offense while out there. Not a running QB, but when there is an open lane takes off for 10+ yards. It will be interesting to see where he goes in the draft.

Which is exactly what I said...stay away from this kid!

Chances of him being anything more than Skelton, Lindley, McClown, Rusty Lisch, Tony Sacca, Rick McIvor or Kyle Mackey are probably 1% or less. The chances of drafting a franchise QB are better picking one early in Rd 1.

IMO one of these guys aren't in the draft class of 2013, so the Cards are basically screwed right now. Looks like Kolb is the best answer again next year unless we can make a huge trade for Romo or Rivers (whom I wouldnt touch for more than a 2nd rd pick). I would give up a #1 & 3 for Romo though.

Or maybe Neil Lomax? A second round pick out of Portland State? Or Jim Hart an UDFA out of SOUTHERN Illinois? Or maybe that fellow Kurt Warner also an UDFA out of NORTHERN Iowa. The only QB the Cards have drafted in the first round in the last 50 years was a colossal bust. But none of these small school guys were . 7 pro bowls between them while playing for the leagues most invisible team the Cardinals. Leading passers in 9 of the Cards 13 winning seasons since 1960. 73,279 combined yards passing. 445 Touchdowns!

I know the history. In reality it's a slim, slim chance Duck regardless of the how the stars are aligned. Like I said we've wasted 20+ picks on these guys over the years for nada.

But you can say that about every position with the Cardinals. They've only had 13 winning seasons in 52 years, so almost everyone they drafted has been a bust or been run off or hightailed it out of town ASAP leaving the Cards with nada. I think there are 9 RBs the Cards have taken in the 2nd round. All previous to Ryan Williams were failures. I tried to tell everyone it was a mistake for the Cards to draft a RB in the 2nd round but no one listened and now RW has played only 5 games in two seasons and averaged 2.8 yards per carry in that limited time.

It's the Cardinals, they have to go with destiny. It's who they are. The time warp team.

I would draft Wilson and Sorensen because I would take them over Lindley and Skelton, and go with Kolb to start the season. :)
