Q did a 30 minute interview with Michael Irvin today. His comments are very telling. He obviously is pushing the envelope for a deal or a trade by going on every radio station in the US. Where will he be tommorrow. This isn't going to go away anytime soon!!!

Some of his comments:

1) Him and Rosenhaus have asked for a trade
2) Is very uncomfortable and this WILL BE IN THE BACK OF HIS MIND.
3) Wants a fair deal
4) Has been talking with the Cards for 2 years now
5) Wiz told him to just sign the deal
6) RG, Michael and Wiz where there, upset with ALL 3
7) Irvin asked him will it be difficult to pla? Quan said "It's gonna come up"
8) Holds the coach accountable for his words
9) Irvin asked Quan if the Bidwills rep for being cheap bother him? "Not at 1st"
10) Quan added "How can a team captain, voted on by your pears, not be taken care of"
11) Said Cards have been dishonest with him at least 5 times
12) Said he and Rosenhaus have had to intiate contact with GM Graves because he is always busy with the draft, free agency and the Dansby contract. Boldin added "Too which didn't get done either".
13) Cards told him they don't want to trade good players like him
14) Q said "If they aren't willing to do right by me, trade me".
15) said Cards offered 4 year extension to his existing 3 years at $7 mil (after 3rd year was up) and no signing bonus at all.
16) Wants to be paid top5 WR money-in the 8 mil a year range

The guy sounds quite pissed off!!! He never said he wouldn't play here if he gets his money. I still don't think he will be here, next season at the latest.

Good listen

That is just one side of the story. The thing that bothers me the most is that Boldin sign a new contract 2 years ago. Yet they have talking for the past 2 years to get a new one done. Something not sounding right here.

Didnt he sign it in year 2? That would make it 3 years ago. Semantics either way but just sayin.

If he wants Top 5 WR money, he should start playing like one again..

14 overall TD the last two seasons.. and only two full seasons played in his 5 yr career, doesnt warrant you Top 5 WR money.. especially at age 28 with a history of nagging injuries..

I guess hes right, the Cards did lie to him about extending him, but that was probably the result of the Cards not expecting he'd ask for Top5 money.. which he doesnt deserve..

My point is he just signed the deal.

I thought your point was to try and catch him in a lie? Him saying two years? Yet you saying he only signed his deal 2 years ago?

:bigyawn:

So in a nutshell. Same story, different time.

Can we go back to talking about the QB's now?

My own comment is I am starting to get a little tired of Boldin and his "They lied, and are dishonest, blah, blah." Welcome to the real world Mr. Boldin. Plus I would love to know what the "lies" are. One man's truth is another man's falsehood. Seriously it is time for him to grow up cause he is officially starting to throw a temper tantrum, and it is pretty sad, IMO. Once again he deserves the money, there is no doubt. But still.....put up or shut up.

Molkerman and me have been proving that for 3 days! :)

I think the point is that per the above, Q was asking for a new deal one year after signing a new deal.

I guess it never hurts to ask.

If I'm not mistaken, he said the Cards approached him.

That is BS and doesn't sound like something Whiz would say. Agreed. It would be pretty stupid.

But he said this, but they said that!

this is a confusing situation. It seems like just a year ago that Q was the man here. the fan fav especially. Fitz was riding shotgun and his contract extension was looming and the situation for him looked grim. Now the tables have turned especially since Fitz got his contract. granted fitz came back strong from his absence(s) and earned that money. I've always thought that fitzgerald was the better receiver....far more talented. but boldin is strong and plays hard and make no mistake the guy would be a top WR on many other teams that are lacking. I'm surprised it's taken this long for him to be so vocal, but it comes at a terrible time. and he might want to stay away from the vultures in Big D. but too late for that. Right now is not the time to despute a contract, but no one really knows the truth behind the scenes.

For around $4.5 mil a year. Tough to take hu...??? "Q" Has turned into a Malignant Cancer; and that is to bad. Just blame the "B's" that is the safe way out for all disgruntled NFL Players. Now if all of this is true; and I mean True about "Q" let us have a "Q" jersey Burning at the home opener. Or better let us collect all of the "Q" memorabilia and give it to The Salvation Army.

Here's my problem w/ Q. He was offered a top reciever type contract before the Fitz deal. He & Rosenhaus decided to pass & take the gamble he could get a better deal later.

Q, you're an adult, & you took the gamble. That gamble came up snake eyes, & now you want others to pay for your poor gamble. Part of being a grown up is taking responsibility for your choices. You made a poor choice by selling your soul to Rosenhaus in the first place & then augmented that by following his advice not to take the good deal that was offered before Fitz'. Now you pay the price for a horrible decision & learn.

The Cards were/are under NO obligation to redo a contract you signed not long ago. They did the right thing to offer a re-do, you declined. Bad choice! Now be a man & live w/ it rather than make others pay for YOUR BAD CHOICES!

You're worth more, no doubt. The Cards were willing to pay you more & probably close to what you're really worth. You flat out made a bad, bad decision. Not the first one to lose to the slime ball Rosenhaus.

If we would have done this deal before the draft we could have gotten Crayton and Mendenhall.

Timing is everything. And I don't want to see Q go to the Cowboys while I am watching Hard Knocks. I might slit my wrists.
