Which two of Reuber, Ellington and Wakefield will make the 53 man roster as backup OT's? Ellington can play both LT and RT.

Will Deuce Latui be the starter at LG over Wells? We know that Loney doesn't like rookies to start, but will he be the exception?

AJ Schable (6'3"/280), a former DE will be converted to a FB. Obviously he'll be a force as a blocker. Does this spell the end of Hodgins (and his bloated contract)?

If we put Roger Robinson on the PS, how long will we be able to hide him there?

Who becomes our 5th DT between Langston Moore and Tim Bulman? There is no way Jonathon Lewis gets put on PS. He would be snapped up.

Will Darryl Blackstock respond to the opportunity of becoming the starting W/OLB? Same for Gerald Hayes at MLB. Will Lance Mitchell have a strong sophmore year?

Will Eric Green outplay Macklin for a starting CB position?

Who is destined to become our K/P returner.......Michael Spurlock.....or?

Just how bad is Antrel Rolle's knee?

Will Kenny King supplant Calvin Pace as the man to spell Bertrand Berry off at DE?

Where does Ernest Shazor fit best....as a SS or as a W/OLB.

Why on earth do we have so many TE's on the roster? Clearly, we'll only keep three (Bergen, Edwards and Pope)?

How many WR's will we keep on the 53 man roster.....4 or 5?

Will we be cutting Damien Anderson only to bring him back during the season.....again......cuz Marcel Shipp has better value in a three back rotation.

Now that the stadium is sold out, do we finally let our token Hispanic, Roland Cantu, loose and turn him into a scout in Mexico?

BTW, gotta luv Denny Green and his determination to give a Stanford guy a "figting chance".....this year's Mr Irrevelant......Troy Walters (5'8"/171)

Although it was reported that the Cardinals signed Schable with the intent of trying him at FB (#37 jersey), he was definitely working out as a DE last Saturday during Fan Fest. Second year TE Jon Bronson #85, a former DE at Penn State was working out as a FB. And Hodgins was again (still) on the sideline with injury!

In a recent article on azcardinals.com Green was once again talking up Kenny King, Calvin Pace was being worked out at an OLB spot.

My guess is the Cardinals will keep a minimum of 6 WR's on the 53 man roster, one of them will double as a kick returner.

Can Macklin be turned into a FS? If we want our 4 best DB's starting i would think the corners would be Rolle with Green and the safeties would be Wilson and Macklin.

At 5-10 Macklin would be short for a FS, but other than that I like your idea! Probably not gonna' happen.

Cardlogic,

6 WR's on the active 53 man roster....I doubt it.

It doesn't allow for much depth elsewhere. 53 as a number goes quick.

Not sure for the whole season but we did have 6 WR's on the roster by the end of the season.

6 WR's is a very real possibility if one or two of them plays special teams.

Understood. However the Cardinals base offensive formation is a three WR set; X-WR, Z-WR and H-WR. While some players will know and be able to play multiple WR positions a two deep chart will account for 6 WR's.

Q and Fitz, are certain, BJ and McCoy are near certain, along with two others, at least one of which will double as a kick returner.

There are currently 11 WR's on the roster (FA pick-up Troy Walters, and Carlyle Holiday, figure to have the inside track, and also Watkins, Lee, Bilbo, Spurlock, and Cobb).

Why so many? To fill 6 positons that's why!

Btw, the Cardinals carried 6 (including returner Swinton) on the 53 man roster last year.

Some great questions

Latui is so good that he will become the starter. Wells will switch to center. Milford Brown witll be the other starting guard. The guards and the center are the key for the running game. These three will open the holes needed for the Edge to get his 100 yard games.

If we put Roger Robinson on the PS, how long will we be able to hide him there?

He will make the team

Who becomes our 5th DT between Langston Moore and Tim Bulman? There is no way Jonathon Lewis gets put on PS. He would be snapped up.

I like Langston Moore. Bulman will be dropped.

Will Darryl Blackstock respond to the opportunity of becoming the starting W/OLB? Same for Gerald Hayes at MLB. Will Lance Mitchell have a strong sophmore year?

Damn good questions. I like Blackstock and think he has a chance to become the starter. MLB is a problem and I'm thinking that neither Hayes or Mitchell are the answers. Maybe we sign a veteran that is cut before the season starts. Denny has done that in the past.

Who is destined to become our K/P returner.......Michael Spurlock.....or?

Troy Walters has the inside track for punt returner and Bryant Johnson (per Denny) could be the kick returner.

Just how bad is Antrel Rolle's knee?

My biggest concern and I hope that he is okay by the start of training camp.

Will Kenny King supplant Calvin Pace as the man to spell Bertrand Berry off at DE?

I think Calvin will end up as the backup and King:shrug:

Where does Ernest Shazor fit best....as a SS or as a W/OLB.

I don't see him as a player and predict he will be cut. Too slow for the pro's.

How many WR's will we keep on the 53 man roster.....4 or 5?

Five for sure with two on the practice squad ( Watkins & Lee).

Will we be cutting Damien Anderson only to bring him back during the season.....again......cuz Marcel Shipp has better value in a three back rotation.

Anderson will be cut. Shipp will be the number three back and Robinson will be the 4th back.

Now that the stadium is sold out, do we finally let our token Hispanic, Roland Cantu, loose and turn him into a scout in Mexico?

They will do something to keep Cantu in the organization.

BTW, gotta luv Denny Green and his determination to give a Stanford guy a "figting chance".....this year's Mr Irrevelant......Troy Walters (5'8"/171

Denny drafted Troy Walters in Minnesota. He had a very good year as the Punt returner.

I believe Antonio Smith will spell Berry and Pace will be backup to Okeafor and Kenny King will backup Dockett. Clancy,Watson and Moore will play the other Defensive Tackle position.

However there is a lot of summer between now and opening day.

AJ Schable (6'3"/280), a former DE will be converted to a FB. Obviously he'll be a force as a blocker. Does this spell the end of Hodgins (and his bloed contract)?

He's PS this year but our FB for left handed QB next year or year after. He was an all-state RB in high school.

If we put Roger Robinson on the PS, how long will we be able to hide him there?

He won't clear waivers. He's prime Cardinal KR material this year.

Who is destined to become our K/P returner.......Michael Spurlock.....or?

Troy Walters has first dibbs on PR and Roger Robinson has first dibbs on KR.

Will we be cutting Damien Anderson only to bring him back during the season.....again......cuz Marcel Shipp has better value in a three back rotation.

He'll be cut because he's the odd man out. Marcel is our only power rb and for some reason JJ deserves a better chance than Damien.

Troy has first dibbs on PR.

I've realized we have a decent amount of good players that I don't want to see leave the 53 man roster but is inevitable they will!!

That's a good thing me thinks!!!

Cardinals have consistently said that they will field 5 best linemen which should not preclude Latui to start.

Will Deuce Latui be the starter at LG over Wells? We know that Loney doesn't like rookies to start, but will he be the exception?

Yes, it appears that you have little knowledge as I do when it is about football. I too will enjoy finding out the answers that you don't know. We can learn together in this season. I am very proficient with statistical analysis and will try to get you updated.

And I have purchased season tickets so I can get you responses to these first hand. Do not despair in your lack of knowledge for help is near.
