I am pretty sure I posted that already. :)

And it may not technically have been the spread, Purdue did go four wide quite a bit if I recall correctly.
Didn't see that, but it was worth noting twice :) When Brees played at Purdue, it was still considered a pro style offense because he did go under center and didn't have designed QB runs or double/triple option type plays that are typical in most spread offenses. It's pretty similar to what he runs with the Saints, a lot of 3-4 wide formations.

That is what I said. Again. :)

It will be interesting to see how GIII measures at the combine. I'm guessing he's closer to 6'0 than 6'2.

Not to slight on RG III because he is a tremendous athlete, but there is no way he is 4 inches taller OR faster than Vick. Griffin looks no taller than 6'1 and he might be a bit shorter than that and Vick ran a 4.3-40, Griffin is fast, but he aint that fast.

I will guarantee you he's close to/if not 6' 2". I paid close attention & the Heisman ceremonies how he stood up against former winners! He was the same as Jim Plunkett among others, though I don't recall those guys.

He stood next to Luck, who is 6'4", and he didn't look too short, but he was noticeably skinny compared to Luck. I'm sure the official measurments will be somethin like 6'1 1/2" at 215. Very similar to Vick.

Finally someone says something that Mulli hasn't said.

Purdue pretty much ran the spread ofense at Purdue. Joe Tiller brought his offense from, I think Wyoming, and it was new to the Big 10 when he first arrived. When Purdue had success, the other lesser talented teams like Northwestern started using it with varying degrees of success.

Who is the last Big12 Spread QB to win a playoff game?

That's only because Colt McCoy got stuck playing for Cleveland. If he'd been drafted by Arizona he'd have won a playoff game last year and would be getting ready for another this weekend. :)

But I don't think where a QB went to College really makes much difference. I know others have also said that QBs couldn't succeed because they didn't play against top caliber competition in College.

Yet since 1991 no School has produced two different Super Bowl winning QBs and guys from Morehead State, Northern Iowa, Fresno State, Miami of Ohio and Southern Mississippi have won Super Bowls.

3 of the 4 best QBs for the Cardinals came from Southern Illinois, Portland State, and Northern Iowa.

Last year QBs from Delaware, Boston College, Miami of Ohio, and Vanderbilt won playoff games.

If it made any difference where a guy played in college why aren't there more QBs from the same school? Where are all the other franchise QBs from Tennessee, Cal, Mississippi, Michigan, Miami of Ohio, Purdue and Delaware?

I guess NFL teams should only draft QBs named Matt from Boston College.

Sounds logical. They have Bradford, a #1 overall pick and a better QB than Griffin. Redskins ( 6th pick) want Griffin. Dolphins(8th pick) want Griffin. Cleveland (4th pick ) wants Griffin. Even Rod Graves couldn't blow this one if he ran the Rams, where there is an opening waiting for you Rod.

The Rams stumbled into this one. Stepped in poo and came up diamonds.

Just for the record, Griffin is 4 inches taller than, 20 pound heavier than, faster than, throws better than, smarter than ........

Michael Vick.

Several of the big name gurus think Griffin is a better pick than Luck.

Not in a quadbillion bazillion gajillion years + another big bang.

Na' Guh' 'Appen.

I am just reporting what I heard on Mike and Mike. Your odds seem a little long on this. I could bet a nickle and become a billionaire if Vegas would give out those odds. I think the largest number in our system may be a "google". Or it may be "infinity" according to some scientist.

Some say Luck is the next coming of JC or the best QB ever. Since he has never played a down in the NFL that may be an over statement. He likely will be the #1 pick but you never know. Apparently he did not show very well in the bowl game. If I had my choice I would probably take Luck and then some guy like Tom Brady would show up in round 7.

The Rams trading that pick depends on how Alshon Jeffrey looks in offseason workouts. I don't think that they will risk not getting either Blackmon or Jeffrey.

I will be most interested to see who we MIGHT have drafted in our #2 pick we gave away? There will sure be a lot of second guessing when this occurs. Giving up a #2 in our draft slot is really a big deal. Probably one of the top 40-50 players in all the land. That was a very very big deal. Probably a starter for the Eagles. With our luck they will probably draft a starting QB.
