JAN 03 AT CARDINALS

Dont go to sleep on the Rams. I'm thinking atleast 10 wins for them.

I'm giving them the Bears, Ravens, Lions, Bucs and 49ers + one more tough win (hopefully its not against us) For all we know it might be the Vikings, then they would get REALLY scary if they win that game and IF we lose to Seattle.

Seattle I still dont know. I think they definitely suffered some losses in the offseason that are hurting them now, but I'm not ready to bury them. They struggled to beat a depleted Dallas team today, lets say down but not out...

This division is probably going to be a war to the end, but the Cardinals still have the opportunity to run away with this a little. If the we Beat Seattle in 2 weeks and the Rams lose to the Vikings we will have a big lead on everyone. Got to get far enough away that we can afford to lose a tough game later.

Thoughts and/or predictions on where everyone might wind up?

I have the Rams at 8-8, 9-7 at best and Seattle at 10-6.
Rams:
lose at Minny, at Seattle, at Cincy, at Bmore
wins: Chicago, TB, DET
Toss-up: Cardinals, at SF.

Seattle:
loss: at Cardinals
wins: 49ers, Browns, Rams
toss up: Cards, Steelers, at Minny, at B'more

With Smith out the Ravens are likely to beat anyone decent.

You have to remember that we're not going to go 14-2. We're going to have at least 2 hiccups along the way, maybe 3. The way we're playing and looking at our remaining schedule, there isn't one team we can sleep on. We have some very tough games. 2 Seattle, Packers, Bengals, Vikings, Eagles. If we go 6-2 down the stretch then we're for real. 5-3, we're contenders. 4-4, tough road ahead. This is why losing those 2 games we had every opportunity to win hurt so much. We might be looking back on how we really needed those games. But, IMO, if we can pull an upset over GB or @ Seattle or @ Cincy, this will make the rest of the league sit up and take notice.

+1

Those games could come back to bite us. Cardinals control their own destiny. Stay focused and play thier A game for 60 minutes each and every game and they should be in the playoffs. Come out unfocused and allow teams to get ahead and then try to come back will not work against better teams.

We have the Bengals at home. That said they may very well come in undefeated as their next two games are against the Browns and Texans.

Here is how I see it.

RAMS
NOV 8 AT VIKINGS -W
NOV 15 Vs. BEARS - W
NOV 22 AT RAVENS - W
NOV 29 AT BENGALS - L
DEC 6 Vs. CARDINALS - L
DEC 13 Vs. LIONS - W
DEC 17 Vs. BUCCANEERS - W
DEC 27 AT SEAHAWKS - L
JAN 3 AT 49ERS - W

So that makes them 6-3 for the remaining of their schedule.

SEAHAWKS
NOV 15 Vs. CARDINALS - W
NOV 22 Vs. 49ERS - W
NOV 29 Vs. STEELERS - L
DEC 06 AT VIKINGS - W
DEC 13 AT RAVENS - W
DEC 20 Vs. BROWNS - W
DEC 27 Vs. RAMS - L
JAN 03 AT CARDINALS - L

That makes this 5-3 the rest of their schedule.

I don't think Cards have it easy at all and I don't think Seattle is out of it. I believe the Cards will stay on top of the NFC West, but it will be the Rams that are hot on their tails this year.

You have both Seattle and the Rams losing to each other on December 27th.

It's going to take 10-11 wins to win the division though and thats the point you get to in any case.

If we win in Seattle, and take care of business then I think ultimately the division is ours. Tall task no doubt. However I have more hope than ever after Carolina beat them there and Detroit came within inches of a win.

Lets be clear , we have the lead !!!!!
I don't expect our Cards to run the table the rest of the way , but I don't expect either the Rams or the Hawks to run the table the rest of the way . Their chasing us !!!!!!!!

The Rams remind me of the hype the Dolphins were receiving after beating 2 bad teams. We see what happened to them when they played a real team in NE.

The Rams have Nick Foles at QB. They can beat the Browns and Niners, at home no less, with junk at the QB position. They'll get slapped back to reality soon enough.

Like last year -- this mid season game at SEA is a de-facto elimination game for the Seahawks if they lose it. If SEA loses that game, they go 4-5, 3 games back with 7 to play and at best a split in the series. Unlike last year, it looks like the Cards will have their starting QB for the game.

next four weeks will tell the tale for the Rams -- one game where they will truly be favored ( home vs Bears). They have to go no worse than 2-2

I agree it should always be one game at a time, that's why I'm not predicting our schedule. Just taking a look at whats ahead for our division foes and guessing what it's going to take to be champs.

Two things are almost certain. We simply MUST beat Seattle atleast once and we must win in St. Louis.

I'm not calling the game in Seattle a must win, because it's still Seattle and they are still extremely tough at home. So I almost want to look at as if we will lose that game and what it will take to recover.

What team will we see coming off a bye against the 'hags? Sleep walking like the first half yesterday, or focused like the 2nd half?

I see the Rams going on a major run with the way Gurley and Austin are playing. They look unstoppable on that turf.

You do realize they beat Seattle and us, right? They're a good team.

Yeah the Jury has been in on the Rams for a while. They are a flat out solid team. Scary actually. Gurley is averaging over 140 yards a start, their defense is insanely tough and they have a game manager QB. That's how you can win Superbowls. The key to the Rams is to get ahead and force Foles to throw.
