Mike says they are young enough and don't more prospects. That is why they moved the picks, still have our own pick which will be very high.

Too bad we can't use the picks now to get rid of White or the worst Suns PG in history to play more than 20mpg and signed for 2 more seasons after this.

Also we could have used that New York pick to trade for a future one.

I doubt our prospects are still prospects in 4 years.

That is pretty weak IMO. If you don't want the picks or want to pay two first rounders or whatever then trade them for future picks or veteran players that can help or something!

So we are done?

I bet we will have a great base for negotiations now with the Bobcats.

Having only our pick and the Cavs future pick to bribe them and they know we can't get a shot a Kobe without their help.

Gambo said the Suns will go after Mehmet Okur, or Dampier this summer.

Gambo's a moron. The Detroit trade made the Pistons even MORE likely to sign Okur.

And Dampier won't come to the Suns.

Well now the Pistons have the cap room to resign Okur now that they traded Atkins' contract away. If they don't keep Wallace.

The Suns still have the contracts of White and Eisley to deal with or it is a mid level FA at best.

I am not sure we want Dampier considering how much he will probably want to be paid. I am not comfortable witha guy that has a track record of not playing well untill his contract is up.

If they don't get Kobe they already screwed up big time.

Okur would be no consolation at his price. Even if we get Kobe we need a lot more than just him or Okur. We have no bench right now, none at all.

What happened?!

Since the Marbury trade does it boil down that we traded Steph, Penney, Googs AND a first round pick for Lampe, McDyess, Clark, and Handlogten?

I hope we all like losing because it looks like Bryan and Jerry are ready to do it for awhile. This trade makes no sense and if Jerry doesn't want to spend money on this team sell it and get someone who is. Also i tink its time for a new GM. Must be nice to have daddy running the team and not having any pressure on you. I think it's time to get rid of bryan.

Almost.

Marbury, Hardaway, Gugliotta, Trybanski, and a 2nd rd pick for Lampe, McDyess, Eisley, Clark, Vujenic(sp?), and Handlogten.

There was never a no trade clause. JC and Googs supposedly had a gentlemens agreement that he would not be traded. Of coarse I have never seen it published anywhere

I was driving home form the dentist and caught the end part os something Gambo and Ash we talking about.

They said there was another deal that was on the table for the suns but they backed out.

In usual Gambo and Ash fasion, the details weren't clear.

Basically what I got out of it was (I dont even know if this works under the cap, doubt it does)

Boston gets Malik Rose, Suns (yes the top 5 one) pick
SA gets Eisley and or White (I hate Gambo/Ash)
Phx gets expiring contracts and the pick we owe SA back

They claim the suns insisted that Boston take NYs pick instead of their own, and that is why it fell apart.

Only reason why I posted this was because it sounded like a rather interesting deal.

Too bad, I wouldn't have minded a Casey/MoPete swap... :(

I remember someone saying the Suns wanted to make a trade in the worst way, and now we know what "in the worst way" really means.
