Case in point our current starter who got his brains beat in with the Rams early in his career and has never been the same physically. The Cards need to double down on Rosen and go heavy OL the next two days so these guys are polished lineman by the time Rosen is the full time guy. I really couldn’t care less about the defense right now.

#47 Targets:
James Daniels C Iowa
Will Hernandez OG UTEP
Austin Corbett OG Nevada
Jamarco Jones OT Ohio State
Tyrell Crosby Jr. OT Oregon

Also note I don't expect Rosen to play much, if at all this year.

I hope not, if he does, that would mean Bradford got injured and Glennon stinks so bad they would have to put Rosen in.

I think offensive line wise, the Cards are thin at Tackle vs guard

someone who could come in and be a right tackle would be a benefit

Will Hernandez is a man among boys in this draft. Why not get a probowl guard now to team with Justin Pugh to keep the pocket clean for the man. We know nobody is going to bull rush Hernandez and that gives Rosen a pocket to step up into.

Last night Keim likely went to bed after crying along in his kitchen for the loss of 3rd and 5th round picks. So trade down in 2nd round draft today is likely.

Only if it isn't far and we can guarantee we have a guy who can contribute effectively sitting there when we draft.

This is a good draft between rounds 2 and 4. They should trade down. but they may not get anything beyond an extra 5th rounder for dropping 10 spots or so

I know we can always use OL depth but I continue to wonder why everyone thinks our line will be worse than last year. A lot hinges on health but a OL of Hump, Iupati, Shipley, Pugh and Smith is much better than what we had at end of last year.

Hump and Iupati haven't been able to stay healthy and Smith hasn't been a good T in years.

And Shipley may not have been awful last year but he is also not what I would consider to be anything more than mediocre.

Without adding more pieces, there is a lot of risk here IMO, especially at RT.

I absolutely agree we need to add depth but at least they went out in FA and addressed the OL, unlike WR and CB. Last year we were running out guys like Bohem, Wetzel, Holden, Watford. Are you trying to tell me Smith and Pugh are not better than those guys?

Pugh was a steal. But Smith is not as good as Veldheer. they should have kept Jared and had smith as his backup.

but Connor Williams would be good... thought for sure he was gonna be a first rounder... James Daniels might be the best oline pick we could make though

I hope he does play this year. I hope he wins the job right out of camp, because he's that good. I can dream...can't I?
Yes if it is a real competition and Rosen starts immediately its mean he is our franchise qb for a decade or more

I don't see him starting regardless of what is being said. I think Bradford starts and if he makes it past the rams game, he may go for awhile. Only 1 year of Sam's contract is guaranteed (not sure about Glennon) so they are going to let Sam play this year as long as he is healthy. Even if Rosen does not start any games in 2018 I still see him as our starting QB in 2019,

I tend to agree...assuming of course we are on pace for the playoffs. if Bradford has us at 2-6 then I think they make the switch.

They have to make sure we dont have a QB controversy. it can hurt the locker room as well as damage fan support. If Bradford sucks the fans and the team will demand the change...unless Rosen is sucking too.

Is Sam's contract guaranteed for injury next year?
