Won't be Snoppy Jr. Too bad, he had some skills we needed.

I'm not understanding why a top WR would not want to play with Bercovici. Does anyone know if the Sun Devils have enough receivers as it stands right now?

Yes, we have plenty, including Eric Lauderdale who was a prize Juco recruit last year who redshirted. DJ will be playing in the slot this year too. Not saying it wouldn't be nice to add some new talent, but we would be OK if we didn't

Also, I think we are still waiting to hear on a big WR recruit.

This makes me feel better.

I'm still waiting to hear about the recruit that called Graham at 1 am that had him so elated.

Could this be the player Graham was excited about?

Doug HallerVerified account ‏@DougHaller

On ESPNU, four-star DL Joseph Wicker of Long Beach Poly says he will sign with Arizona State. Rivals No. 12 defensive tackle.

I was hoping but no.

Per @adamgorney, four-star WR Jaylinn Hawkins has committed to Cal over Arizona State and others.

It looks like D.J. Foster will be the Sun Devils primary WR although Graham says he is still working on it. I really like how the Sun Devils have added quality players on the offensive and defensive line. It looks like they went after the BPA strategy.

Well Coach Graham just confirmed that DT Jo Wicker is the guy he flipped out about when he found out in the middle of the night that he was coming to ASU. He said this guy was the "number 1 target" on ASU's recruiting board. He is a total fit for our system and mega talented.

It looks like we are developing an absolute killer interior for our defense with Wicker (#12 DT in the nation), Durant (top JUCO LB in the nation) and Reynolds (6'5" 325). Should be great watching them develop together.

It looks like a great recruiting class for the Sun Devils. I really like the size and depth they added to both the offensive and defensive line plus other positions such as running back. DT Jo Wicker appears to be quite the prize. However, I would sleep a little better if they added a WR. Unless other players can step up at this position, it could handicap Mike Bercovici at QB whose strength is throwing the ball.

Apparently, we are still waiting to hear from WR Chatman who is trying to make his mind up between ASU and TCU.

Here is a blib on him from an older Azcentral.com article

Terrell Chatman. Chatman is a three-star receiver from Central High in Baton Rouge, La. He committed to Miami last July, but remains open to other schools. Chatman – who has good size at 6-4 and 185 pounds – visited TCU last week and is scheduled to visit the Hurricanes next week. According to the New Orleans Times-Picayune, ASU coaches visited Chatman on Wednesday. Rivals ranks Chatman as the nation's No. 86 receiver.

I don't know much about Chatman but ASU is a golden opportunity for a WR wanting to play.

for sure. It also looks likely that if he's strongly leaning ASU's way, he may have had to wait until today. ASU can only send out 25 LOI's, and we know they had at least 1 LOI that they sent out, thinking it would be signed, that then wasn't (Paul Lucas). This may have also been the case w Snoop Jr, since every sensible sign pointed to him coming to ASU.

I always wonder how things like that would make a guy like Chatman feel, does he feel like ASU views him as a backup plan? As a big 4 star guy, that's a heck of a backup plan.

ASU has a lot of good WRs already, so it won't be a killer if they don't get one this class, but it would be nice to get one. From the kids point of view you'd think he'd see the opportunity at ASU and jump on it. Another school vying for his services, TCU, has already signed a bunch of WRs.

I can't find anything on Chatman's decision. Has anyone heard where he decided to go?

He hasn't made his decision yet. He initially said he would do it yesterday but didn't. What's funny is his blurb on twitter says "A double minded man is unstable in all his ways".

WR Terrell Chatman is going to announce at 12:15 AZ time today. He's choosing between ASU, TCU and Miami.

Sure would be a nice pick up for the Devils.
