He is visiting Halloween weekend. Cool that he is visiting but I cannot see he going anywhere but USC, Snoop is too big of a fan and is surely steering his son in that direction.

Yea. I figured he would be staying in southern cal

2016 recruit, my concern is that kids change their minds a lot and he has over a year to think about his decision. Last time a kid brother committed with big brother playing for ASU was Jaleel Wadood (Rashad Wadood was a WR for ASU) who reneged and signed with UCLA.

Man if we can land Christian Kirk, who takes an "official" visit this weekend (huge considering AZ kids never use an "official" on in-state schools) that will be a real coup and the crown jewel of the class. God, I hope ASU puts on a show and gets the win, 11 kids visiting this weekend (some are verbals) but a couple are primary targets (Kirk & Irwin).

ASU gets commitment from 3-star DT George Lea from LA. Lea is 3rd player from LA to commit to ASU this year. He was also one of the many visitors for last week's ND game. Hopefully he gets the ball rolling for a strong finish to this year's class.

Would be amazing to land Kirk. He is the single best athlete I have ever seen in high school... I swear if he were playing at ASU this year, he'd be tearing it up... Ridiculous speed and great size. He can dominate at either WR or RB. Really hope he liked what he say last Saturday!!!!!!

Well, looks like Kirk will make his decision next week on Dec. 17. http://www.azcentral.com/story/spor...eeling-wear-of-late-recruiting-push/20222135/

The easy part was leading Scottsdale Saguaro to another state football championship.

The hard part for senior receiver Christian Kirk is coming now, trying to figure out a college among his final five:

Arizona State, UCLA, Auburn, Ohio State and Texas A&M.

Last weekend the five-star recruit canceled his scheduled official visit to USC and eliminated the Trojans, just before packing for the trip.

"I didn't want to go," he said. "I didn't have the interest. I just had a gut feeling that wasn't the place for me."

Kirk said that he's been getting about five colleges coaches in his living room an evening.

"It's getting pretty hectic, especially the home visits," Kirk said. "Having five or six coaches in my living room every night is a little rough. It's taking some wear on my family. That's the main thing I'm worried about. But we're all handling it good, and we can't wait for it to be over with."

Big day...where does Kirk go? ASU is a great fit but should Kirk go elsewhere, ASU is on the list of a lot of WR's left on the board: Irwin, Broadus & Hawkins. Gut tells me its ASU.

Lets hope he stays home a la DJ Foster. It'd be especially disappointing to see him go to UCLA given all the Phoenix area talent that has slipped that way in recent years.

I think he's going to go to Texas A&M because that's the way it usually seems to work for top in state recruits.

well at least ASU plays TAMU to start next year. I know Kirk wants to play right away, so hopefully he's on the field and Lloyd Carrington locks him down all game.

Another highly-touted Arizona prospect leaves the state. Shows that the Arizona schools have a ways to go to keep top-tier talent to stay home.

Only guy quasi-left on the market is Corona Del Sol OLB/DE Cassius Peat. Listed as a soft commit to UCLA and slated to "officially" visit ASU on 1/23.

Aggies have gotten three elite Arizona recruits in the last two years. What is the connection?

Maybe it is just a personal irritant to me, but why does local media give so much coverage to local kids who go out of state. It's like they get double coverage. They get huge coverage from the Arizona media and then get media coverage from the papers and schools where they attend.

Yep, a little annoying. But I wouldn't care if they got all that coverage for announcing A State!

One other thing about the Kirk decision. It would have been awesome to have him on the team, but I think we are going to be very solid at WR and the slot next year. Yes, Strong will be gone, but DJ should still be around, and we had 2 huge juco transfers join the team and redshirt, Lauderdale and Hayes. I am excited about seeing what they have to offer.
