Talk about feast to famine. Trey is easily one of the best doing it now, I LOVE Higgins who doesn't get the praise he deserves enough IMO, and Tip is doing exactly what we asked of him. The trust Kyler has in these guys is a huge reason for our recent success IMO. So happy to see it.

True indeed B, but the skill level is markedly better. If Trey got hurt, I would have total faith in EH to hold us down.
Yes, but at one time we had both Jay Novaceck (All-Pro) and Rob Awalt (1987 Rookie of the Year) on our team. Bugel came in as coach and got rid of both of them because he viewed a TE only as a blocker or somebody to perform H-back type functions.

They traded Awalt to the Cowboys and left Novacek unprotected. Both ended up with Dallas and Novacek became a star TE for them while Awalt battled injuries the rest of his career.

Ahhhh, see you're going back. I agree if we're going THAT far. I'm speaking more recent history than anything.

I remember.
But now, with Higgybear, Boom Boom McBride, and JTT,...we might not draft another TE for close to 10 years

You boys ready for a 4 year extension for 70 mil, 17.5 mil per year?
We're rolling over about $18 million, so if they front load it with that in mind, it won't look bad the following 3 years.

$20 million signing bonus ($50 total guaranteed)
Year 1 - guarantee the full year at $30 million base + $5 million prorated cap hit for $35 million

Year 2 - $7.66 base + $5 million prorated cap hit for $12.66 million

Year 3 - $6.67 base + $5 million prorated cap hit for $11.67 million

Year 4 - $5.67 base + $5 million prorated cap hit for $10.67 million
