I don't know how many people were there, but the old ESPN boards were pretty crazy too. I think Mike O might have been there, but can't recall anyone else.

What about RealGM? I have seen some very very hostile and nasty conversations there that make our board seem tame.

That board doesn't seem to have much moderation, but it is pretty busy, busier than here most of the time.

They also are part of a bigger basketball board, so they constantly get other teams' fans posting there, which is probably why it's so hostile.

I agree but that's not the point I was making. My point was around Sarver's ability to draw and compete with other franchises for players considered franchise caliber throughout the league or said players showing interest in us. There is ZERO debate that we were very fortunate to get Steve an he turned into that kind of player. Just like I think there is ZERO debate that if those teams knew what kind of player he would become....there would not have been feeding frenzy competition for his services league wide at that time. Had that been the case and we still landed him I would see this as proof positive. That wasn't the case.

Actually, how many franchise players have changed teams through free agency league wide since Nash. What is it? Three? LeBron, Bosh, and Dwight. Anyone else. The cba is much more home team friendly than in JC's heyday.

I would have to go back and check but that's one of the reasons sign and trades have become so popular. There is a way to do it aside from just flat out signing free agents. Some of his JC biggest moves involved trades. None of this is easy stuff for sure but it's possible and teams that have the best FO find a way.

I was absolutely there. Same name too. The Suns board was a real nut house. Suns2k5 has to be one of the most unstable internet personalities I have ever come across.

I was there well before then. We're talking 1999/2000 area. I was already gone by 2005.

Have I really been posting on this board for 12 years? Man, I need to get a life.

Yeah, I remember those days. Sunscat and Seven (schutd?) were the names i remember from that era.

Sunscat went over to phxsuns.net and changed his name, Seven disappeared and schutd appears every so often, but generally on the movie board.
