And concealing weaknesses is a bad thing?
You know, you both are right.

Jake does have weaknesses, and Shanahan does a great job of hiding or compensating for them utilizing the rest of his offensive arsenal.

But that doesn't mean that, had Jake remained a Cardinal, those weaknesses could have been "worked around" here, given the talent-level of his supporting cast. (For one thing, Denvers' receivers are more experienced).

The point being that the move seems to have been right for Jake, right for the Broncos and, in the end, right for the Cardinals.

I completly agree I just thought it was odd that Devon said it the way he did. I don't care if it's all Shanahan and Kubiak, the fact is Jake has 2 picks in his last 7 games, went 4 full games without a pick, and they were winning most of those games so the scheme to hide his weaknesses worked. the only problem I have which I said the first time I saw him play this year, is he's taking way too many shots on the run in that system and he'll get hurt.

There's no way Jake would have the same numbers here with Sully and our young WR's, he's said that himself, but that doesn't matter. I don't think he's a good QB yet but if Denver can win with him that's all that matters to them. They just need to find a backup capable of playing that same style so the next time Jake gets hurt they don't have the problem they had this time around a system that didn't fit their backups at all.

I am utterly amazed that Jake had more picks in his first game than he has the rest of the year, Shanahan and Kubiak should get awards for the work they've done with him.
