This doesn't shock me.

I played with a corner on a semi pro team (I was a receiver). At practice, this dude was never with it. He'd be playing man in cover 2, he'd be pressing in prevent, in the deep third when he was responsible for the flat. Coaches always on his ass, and he'd always be like, "man, I just can't get this right."

In games he was lights out and always around the ball. He was very powerful too... I thought of my buddy Courtney while watching Reddick the other day.

Thrilled with how Reddick performed against the Lions........except for the Sack he had on Stafford but Stafford just shrugged him off. Stafford is a strong dude so hopefully Reddick just has to adjust to pro QB's being stronger than college QB's.

Can't wait to see him blitzing the A gap (HINT HINT HINT Bettcher)

In the long run, Foster is going to be much better than Reddick. I hope I'm wrong but I think we're talking two different levels of playmaking ability.

I literally turned on the Cowboys game and within ONE SECOND, Foster made more plays than Reddick has in an entire season so far.

He's still going to be injury prone, but it's just evidence of how much of a complete and utter non-factor Reddick is right now, especially for a high 1st rounder.

I think 1 of the biggest mistakes now the Cards are making is trying to draft LBs & S who are Swiss Army knives. It's the Tyrann Mathieu effect IMO because they hit big with him before injuries. Buc fits into this category as well.

I also think there were injury concerns over Foster since he went from a projected top pick to an end of the 1st rounder.

I still think Reddick will be a pretty darn player, but I would've loved Foster on our team because he's plain ass nasty! This D is missing some nasty right now IMO

This team isn't just missing some nasty, they are outright bereft of it.

I said at the time that the bad attitude stuff about Foster was a stupid reason to pass on him. If you older guys recall Ray Nitschke and Dick Butkus both had a bad disposition, proving it can be a good thing. Guys didn’t want to go over the middle. Since the Cards lost Swearinger they have no one receivers fear. I don’t want concussions, but a bit of a deterrent can be a good thing. I like Reddick. He and Foster are 2 vastly different players but either one fit with the Cards.

Reddick isn't the problem. If your looking at a rookie on the team who's playing his second position in 6 games and saying he's the problem you need to look deeper.

Your talking about two different teams. It's easy to play LB when you got 3 top 5 picks on your defense line that can penatrate and need to be accounted for.

Our defensive line gets no penetration at all and were average up front

I'm eagerly anticipating next season when he's back at ILB and underperforming and it's because he's "essentially a rookie" who's never played the position before.

I thought he could perform better on the outside but he is easily blocked by any offensive lineman
Probably the worst first round pick of last year draft, he could avoid that if keim had 2 first round picks

He was doing well at ILB. Hated the move back to OLB.

One of my biggest problem with Reddick is that he was a walk on at Temple. I get that players develop at different stages but, other than being a nice story, rarely do you go from walk-on to being top 5 rated player on a teams draft board. I know he broke a leg his senior year in high school but if he was ultra-talented, as a top first round pick should be, he would not have had to walk on at Temple. I think Arians and the fact it was Temple colored their grade of him.

Been keying in on this guy quite a bit today hasn't really impressed me all that much. Even before he got his minor injury that he was able to return from...

Reddick has been awesome. There's a YouTube video out there breaking his play down in the first few games showing just how fast and instinctive he is. I'd rather we traded up for Watson, but I would've picked Roethlisberger over Fitz too lol

I'm no football expert but I don't think our DC is utilizing him correctly.

Our DC had the Badger as FS so PP2 could release Goodwin to him and get outrun for a deep catch, so you are probably right.
