We hope. We haven't seen anything at all from him yet.
He was pretty damn impressive in his debut aka the Lions game when he was at ILB. I don’t believe in Reddick at all as a OLB, but I do as a ILB. Give him a little bit more time.

but we rebounded and grabbed Budda....so we got both. Hooker was a stud though.... it was a good move as long as we dont turn Budda into Justin Bethel

No, this one still rankles me. We could have had Hooker and someone else in the 2nd, rather than overdraft Riddick and then have to trade UP to get Buddha.

Hooker already suffered an ACL injury(albeit looked very promising before it) while Budda played like a stud, also having one of the better performances of the season against the Texans. Not to mention a All-Pro as a STer in his rookie year.

Eh, don’t think it was that bad.

They play different positions though; Hooker is a great centerfield free safety, and Budda is a strong safety. Also, Budda could have easily been gone by the 2nd round, so that's not something you could've exactly planned for. Beating a dead horse here, but Hooker would've been a much better pick in terms of value, and also need.

So he would have suffered an injury with us?

It's not an indictment of Baker at all. I like him as a player. It's a matter of we had to trade up for him to fill a hole when we could have taken Hooker, who was CLEARLY a better pick at #13, to fill a hole, AND had our 2nd-round pick to use, AND wouldn't have had to trade up for it.

I see your point... I just dont think we overdrafted Reddick...
but as far as "Star Power" goes,... Hooker is far more likely to develop into a HoF type player than Reddick is I guess if he stays healthy... its that BPA Vs Need situation....... everyone knew we were drafting a LBer in the first round

I wouldn’t be shocked with our injury luck this year.

On a serious note, who knows? He did so it is what it is.

If Reddick doesn’t come through next season, then he’ll fully deserve the bust label.

Wouldn't we still have a hole? They are two different safeties.

How do u think he can be effective at safety when he struggle to learn assignments at ILB, a position closer to his supposed to be natural position?

According to some 49er fan friends the idea that Foster would get arrested for MJ possession surprised nobody in the organization. Not that he's the only player in the NFL who uses it, and it's legal now in California but not Alabama, but apparently it was not a surprise to anybody that he got caught.

Very good player who I suspect will have a short career due to injuries.

Not clear if he'll get suspended over this or not he's in the drug program already but don't know if an arrest for possession means auto suspension or not.

Sounds like Big Red & 30 other teams made the right decision

It just blows my mind how these idiots keep risking their jobs when they pretty much know when they can be tested lol

Remember he got a positive test at the combine because of that nonsense where he argued with a guy who was doing his test and wound up giving a sample they considered to be "diluted" or having been tampered with. That's really when lots of NFL teams, despite saying it didn't concern them, got really concerned.

The guy plays in California now it's legal here since Jan 1, he can't go home to Bama for a little while and just not do it?

He's a good player but he's got some injury issues that seem very likely to cut his career short so the last thing he needs is to be getting suspended.

Maybe some of these kids think just because they live in some of “those” states they can just smoke away & ignore the NFL rules lol

He was acting like a jackass before he was even in the NFL. You have to be a special kind of stupid to get in trouble at the combine

Well with Foster the implication is he was a user before he got drafted, that's presumably why he tampered with his sample or took something to try and pass the test.

I personally think the NFL should take pot off the banned list, but until they do players that use it are taking a huge risk, even if they live in a state that legalized it.

UCLA had a kid awhile back who showed up as a freshman basketball player and per rumor had a medical marijuana card(before California legalized it for recreation). He was then notified by then coach Ben Howland that he didn't care if the card made it legal for him, it violated team rules. The 2 clashed over this and other things until the kid transferred away. His family was fairly vocal that they raised their kids to speak their minds and it was pretty clear that the kid considered part of that to be if I have a card, I should be able to use pot. Now why a 19 year old college freshman could get a MM card was a whole other story.

When you're talking NFL it's even a whole other story you're not just putting a scholarship at risk you're putting millions of dollars at risk.

o get an MMJ card...you just walk in to the weed clinic, pay your 75 bucks...and tell the doctor your back hurts all the time.... or you cant sleep...or you have muscle spasms..

and whatever ailment you choose...just tell them weed helps relieve your symptoms...BAM...weed card

rather you have one or not there are still plenty of jobs that dont allow it...truck driver for example...
