So what's worse: beating a 4 year old with a stick to the point of leaving flesh wounds on the child's legs or supposedly "bullying" a full grown 300+lb. fellow NFL player? I'm kind of curious of your answer.

Adrian Peterson improperly disciplined his child and appears to have learned his lesson that the way he was raised is not the way he should raise his child.

Incognito is a 34 year old man who actively calls multiple players racist names, has been presented as a horrible person by board members who have reasonably close relationships to him, and within the past 24 hours started throwing poo at people in a gym while ranting about the government?

Come on man, there's way more to Incognito's issues than just the bullying thing. This dude is an absolutely nuts psycho, not a misguided parent. He's the kind of guy you worry might kill someone, not get overaggressive with a spanking.

Bingo. One made a really bad choice. One has made a series of bad choices throughout his entire teenage and adult life.

Just made his asking price a lot cheaper

He jumped off the deep end on this one.

Or he made his concussion case against the Nfl more viable

Who knows

Answer me this: why hasn't anyone taken Incognito to the woodshed yet. You'd think that if he's going around an NFL locker room spouting racist stuff someone would have put him in his place. Hell, I've seen fights in prison over flatulance that resulted in an inmate getting stabbed so you'd think some big country white boy slinging racist names about would have resulted in at least one ass beating

So I'm an idiot if I don't agree that beating a child with what amounted to a freaking whip to be less than some dope shooting his mouth off? I'm the idiot here? Then it's safe to assume that you agree with the practice of beating children in the legs and groin with sticks leaving bloody marks on their bodies? Sorry if I find severely beating children worse than some A-hole with anger issues. Maybe if you spent time fostering kids who have been treated this way you'd feel differently.

Incognito's a big boy, and a little crazy. Maybe people are worried he'll literally snap and kill them. Plus getting into a fight with a teammate is a quick way to get kicked off the team. But there's no doubt about the kinds of words he uses. Read through the stuff he sent to Martin during the bullying incident. Full on racism.

No one is really defending AP here, but an aggressive spanking is very different than throwing dumbbells, headbutting people, bullying mentally ill people into spending hundreds of thousands of dollars, getting year long suspensions from their jobs before their behavior, etc.

Adrian Peterson paid his dues and was unable to play on account of what happened. He learned a lesson. If Incognito had taken his time off and become a changed man, I might feel different. Incognito is repeating the same absolute poo behavior but you don't seem to care because he blocks good. Your logic here seems to be "it's okay to be an insufferable, violent, piece of poo as long as you're doing it to other adults."

What is "worse" between two despicable acts is an argument that there will always be those on each side of the argument. It really isn't germane to the thread topic.

As to the actual topic of this thread "Ritchie Incognito Anyone?" the query is really easy to answer in my mind...no thanks....

It would have been absolute foolishness to sign this guy PRIOR to the latest incident. He is a really good football player, no doubt, but the well documented indiscretions and erratic behavior by this guy aren't just red flags they are STOP signs, at least IMO.

The dude is full blown mentally ill according the detailed report from this incident. I hope he gets the help he needs.

http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/...lieved-altered-paranoid-state-police-officers

According to an incident report by the Boca Raton Police Department, obtained Thursday by ESPN, the 34-year-old Incognito "believed ordinary citizens were government officials that were tracking and recording him." He was not arrested but was taken into custody under Florida's Baker Act, which allows for involuntary psychiatric commitment for people seen as a danger to themselves or others.
When officers approached him, Incognito told them he was "running NSA class level 3 documents through my phone" and didn't have to explain himself to officers because they didn't have enough clearance, according to the incident report. When later told by officers that his behavior might pose a danger to others, Incognito asked a woman in the swimming pool to call the FBI.
According to the officers, Incognito also said he had taken an over-the-counter supplement called "Shroom Tech" and that his hands were shaking heavily, he had erratic speech and he "would suddenly jump up and move locations without warning."

Beating a helpless child is far worse than bullying and being crazy to people who can defend themselves.Only a idiot thinks different. No i don`t want Incognito in AZ .I was pointing out what i think is hypocrisy by some people.

I will echo what BW52 said...

"Beating a helpless child is far worse than bullying and being crazy to people who can defend themselves."

There is no argument to be made other than this one.

I would say it’s really fact-specific here.

Was the boy’s life ever in danger? Was a dumbbell thrown at the man’s head when he wasn’t looking?

Comparing levels of evil is never easy.

The difference is AP was a one time thing where RI is a lifetime thing. AP was disciplining his child. A bit too far I agree but it wasn't uncommon where I grew up to be beat with a switch. Happened to friends & it happened to me. What Richie does he has no remorse for. He's a despicable human being where AP had a one time error in judgement & as far as I know has been a model citizen since. Huge difference between the two. You can debate who is worse but there is a difference & it's not even close.

You really think that was they only time he beat any of his six kids with a switch??? or just the only time he was caught?

"According to police reports, the child, however, had a slightly different story, telling authorities that “Daddy Peterson hit me on my face.” The child also expressed worry that Peterson would punch him in the face if the child reported the incident to authorities. He also said that he had been hit by a belt and that “there are a lot of belts in Daddy’s closet.” He added that Peterson put leaves in his mouth when he was being hit with the switch while his pants were down. The child told his mother that Peterson “likes belts and switches” and “has a whooping room.”

More via Sports Radio 610: Peterson allegedly told the child's mother via text message that he “felt bad after the fact when I notice the switch was wrapping around hitting I (sic) thigh.” Peterson also acknowledged the injury to the child’s scrotum, saying in the text message, “Got him in nuts once I noticed. But I felt so bad, I’m all tearing that butt up when needed! I start putting them in timeout. N save the whooping for needed memories!

"“Never do I go overboard!" Peterson continued. "But all my kids will know, hey daddy has the biggie heart but don’t play no games when it comes to acting right.”

AP was caught 1 time...It would be very naive to think that was the 1st, and only, time he punished one of his children in that manner.

I thought it was the only time he took it too far. I didn't know about the above. But again belts & switches were pretty common. I absolutely do not agree with it but was something that was seen as okay when I was growing up.
