I feel so bad when Jodie gets splashed, lol

Great win! Clutch hits by Drury and Marte.

Neither did Drury. Why all the negative comments? Relax, enjoy the ride
I am. This team so far is my favorite Dback team ever. I also really like Drury but this teams Achilles heel in my opinion is their fielding.

Last night I was at the game and the only hit the Rockies had through 6 innings was that lazy play Lamb made on a routine ground ball. I was actually hoping for the Rockies to get a real hit after that.

Hopefully those two hits will snap Drury out of his slump.

You see marte almost pass out when Owings poured the ice/gum bucket directly on his head. To funny.

Unfortunately Drury seems to be a streak hitter. Drives me crazy too at times but the kid seems to have a good head and we could do a lot worse than his.285 - .295 average. I don't think he has reached his potential, but the jury is out, in the meantime, I will give him the benefit of the doubt.

Trending is no Bueno with this team... defense is collapsing. Offense has dried up. And Rodney coughs up the save...
The Dodger series is feeling like it could get pretty ugly. [emoji30]

Pollack coming back should help with the offense. Defense kind of is was it is. The best fielding INF is on the DL (Ahmed). Maybe in September, when he's back, it wont be an issue.

Absolutely.

Ahmed and Pollack up the middle improves this defense a lot. Having Pollacks bat in the lineup also makes it easier to absorb Ahmed's weak hitting.

The old model used to be defense up the middle and power on the corners.

Story looked like he was falling down while hitting that home run.

He certainly fell down when Walker struck him out.

Karma is a bitch, Trevor Story.

Has pollack really been missed? Blanco and Fuentes have done really well in his absence. I haven't seen any issues from center field with either of those players. How will pollack make it better? Even pollack wasn't hitting all that well before he got hurt.

We've been totally fine in CF without Pollack. Our issues are mainly on the left side of our defense: 3B, SS and LF.

Goldy just struck out on three pitches and never moved his bat!!! Yea, I'm starting to get a little concerned with him...
And then you see the pitches and they are not strikes (in general). Drives me nuts. When your command of the zone is such that you won't swing at balls and then strike out looking, who should change? The batter? Swinging at balls will just get you out anyways - weak grounders and popups.

Left field is an adventure every day. Has an actual left fielder played the position a single game this year? Disagree about Pollack. Yes CF has been fielded OK but none of the guys have the range of Pollack. The guy won the Gold Glove 18 months ago.

The call of balls and strikes seems to have been far more atrocious than ever... However, those three pitches, while not right down broadway, were close enough to be legit strikes. Goldy was fooled on each pitch.

I'm not at all suggesting we don't need Pollack back! But Fuentes and Blanco have been better than fine - defensively.
