I have been down on him most of the year. IMO he has done much better as it has gone on.

No - just thought that people gave up on him to early.

His defense IS improving - has made a few really spectacular plays this homestand.

Ray picked up his 200th strikeout of the season, becoming only the 4th Dback pitcher ever to do so... Man is the guy frustrating. So much talent and stuff, but immensely inconsistent. Gotta hope he uses this season as a massive foundation builder and only moves up from here!
Segura hit two dingers last night giving him 14 on the season... can he get to 20? Really nice season he's put up throughout all of the crap this team has dished out.
Tomas leads the team in HR's with 29... and what I find amazing is his incredibly low RBI total given his 29 dingers - 74 RBI. Goldy has 20 HR's but has 83 RBI, and Lamb has 28 HR's but 88 RBI. To be at almost 30 HR's and barely over 70 RBI is something you just don't see that often...if ever! Wow...

Fellow posters. Please. Ray gave up the 4 runs in 5 innings that we have become accustomed to from our starting staff. That equates to an ERA of 7.20.

A 7.20 ERA is not OK. A starting Pitcher going only 5 innings is not OK.

Let's start practicing better expectations now rather than wait until it is too late again next season.

RR is young. He already has 200+ K's a year. Everyone here is blasting the pitching coach. How about getting a new one and giving guys like RR a fighting chance? BTW his ERA is 4.55 for the year, not 7.20. At least post accurate stats with your allegations.

Why can't the hit like this every game? They have been playing well the last few games. Just wish they were consistent.

Drury also had a great series at the plate and is showing he deserves to be in the lineup everyday...
