Funny considering Gortat also just gets 5-6 when he plays 36 minutes.

Robin hat 15/6 and 3 blocks in 28 minutes.

yeah... i'm really impressed by this 6 rebounds during this 28min. In rebounding he was only behind players like Frye, Nash, Carter and Dudley. Considering Suns only.

And Gortat had 5 while he played 11 minutes.

So... Quit joking, ok?

I get it - Gortat in offence was no factor (maybe even more - he played worst 2 games as long as i remember) but his D is obviously better comparing to Lopez.

Yeah I saw that Steve.

There is a funny thing - when in one match e.g. Dudley plays quite good some of users try to apotheosis his all-season performance. In the second game he sucks and the same users try to bad mouth him. I don`t know, I`m much more football (in US : soccer) maniac then basketball - in football(soccer) it is typical for some young fans with pimples and empty-heads to change their minds as gloves. Phoenix as the team sucks and everybody who watch this games can feel the same. It is not a problem of one or two players, because I`m pretty sure that most of them are good enough to play better. Trying to figure out which element of this jigsaw puzzle is broken is - in my opinion - absolutely foolishly. IMO this puzzle are broken, not single elements - everything. You have to accept simple fact - this season is over for PHX and this team should just implement some new - keeping this terminology;-) - puzzles to have an opportunity for winning in the next season.

Of course I understand that PHX still can win and maybe everything can work as the best basketball machinery. But ... c`mon, really? Not this season guys. I hope that next season will be much better and I wish it to all of you. This one, I hope, maybe will be better then this crap we saw last few games. The only thing I want to see during this season is a good style of playing. I always heard about PHX that they are playing one of the most amazing basketball in NBA and ... hey, I didn`t watch this league for years and I`m not sure if it is that what people meant.

So everything I can say is ... Go Suns and win these freaking games.
Ow ... and the most important. BEAT L.A.!!!;-)

Cheers from Porto, hope that everybody can chill now;-)

Chris.

This road trip will tell us a lot more but I'm starting to favor the shortened rotations. Because last year's bench mob was so fun to watch, I really wanted to have Team A and Team B again this year but it wouldn't work for this roster. Dudley is already efficient as hell, giving him more minutes only benefits the team. More time for Dragic and Hakim can help them break through. Once we're comfortable in the 4th-6th seed, we can try to work Pietrus in after Childress/Hak get dealt.

Do some of you really still believe this is happening? We just beat a New York team for easily our best victory since the trade. The same New York team that is 1 and 4 in their last 5 games. We beat a Portland team that was short-handed and perhaps demoralized by the double knee surgery their star had just gone through. And we beat a couple of teams that are among the league's worst.

I'm thrilled we're on a winning streak but I don't see it translating into anything special. Making it to the 4th-6th spot would be well beyond special with this group. And, oh yeah, look at how many minutes we are having to play Steve Nash - 37 again yesterday. How long can he keep up these kind of minutes? Not to mention that Hakim showed us this same ability at the start of the season before he just stopped giving effort and we know Carter is capable of making Houdini jealous with his disappearing act.

The Suns need to keep making baby steps and see where they end up. I must say, winning is better than losing and I will enjoy it while it lasts. I'm not even sure if the Suns are a playoff team but things are looking better. Awhile back the Suns looked like they were sliding off a cliff.

The only contenders in the West are Lakers, Spurs, and Mavs. The rest of the seeds are up for grabs, we can hang with any of them.

Based on what? I'm not being snide here. Seriously, what do you see that makes you believe we're a serious contender for any playoff spot? I see a team that is having trouble on both ends of the court and is barely beating the worst teams in the league. And they are only accomplishing this feat by overplaying their 37 year point guard.

Based on the thought that those teams have as many problems as we do. Though i think at this point we are battling to play the Lakers or Spurs. No bueno.

Well, if you go by WuRaider's post, there are 3 teams that are locks. Looking at the records, I'd say that leaves 10 teams battling for the last 5 spots just to make the playoffs let along the 4-6 spot he suggested we were destined for.

New Orleans, OKC and Utah are all 8 or 9 games ahead of us in the win column and they have much more to work with and nowhere near the questions we have. So, by my thinking, that leaves 2 spots for 7 teams and I just don't see us as anywhere near the best of those 7. I think we finish 10th or 11th as long as Nash stays healthy and in Phoenix. If we lose him, we'll probably finish 12th or 13th.

A couple of weeks ago, we were the worst team in the league. If they drop 2 of the next 4, I say they still suck but if they sweep the road trip, then there is some hope. The west isn't as strong as previous years, other teams are struggling with chemistry/injuries.

I would love a first round matchup with the Spurs. The two games they took from us this year were close games, the mental lapses and unfamiliarity cost us down the stretch. Dragic owns them.

Okay, that's reasonable. We aren't the only team struggling, that's for sure. And once you get past the top 6 teams, there isn't a huge difference between the rest (including us). That said, I never considered us the worst team in the league and I don't think I'd upgrade my opinion now based on the wins we've just collected. If we were currently in 7th place, I'd give us an outside shot just of hanging on to it especially with the Clippers and Warriors both playing so much stronger now. As it is, we've got ground to make up.

If we can get a PF which will replace Stat (in terms of PnR), we could potentially become an explosive team that can be very dangerous in the Playoffs.

With the 3 elders (Nash, Hill, Carter) playing well, and the improved play of Frye, Lopez and Gortat along with the aggressive plays and hustle by Dudley, I think a PF will bring us over the hump. It'd make us a complete team.

Orlando's pick, and/or Pietrus, Warrick, and Childress (though i like him) and any combination of all those hopefully can produce us THE PF we're missing.

Yes, and PFs that can replace Stat just grow on trees.

Not replace STAT but someone that can finish the pickNrolls with Nash and knock down a midrange jumper somewhat consistently. Those players dont grow on trees but there is a lot of them in the NBA but not one is on the Suns.

I dont think you can really call the Mavs contenders.

Any suggestions? Obtainable players' names?

There's a lot of them. Just look at the rosters of all the good teams and you'll find one. I don't buy into the theory that all these good teams are looking to trade away one of the most valuable assets an NBA team can have but maybe we'll get lucky or perhaps we can initiate a hostile takeover.

The good news is that if we do find a team willing to move a quality power forward, we would probably be the only team interested in trading for him. Take Horford for example, if he's available who else could possibly be interested in acquiring him. A first round pick and Childress should do the trick which is really fortunate for us as we don't have much more to offer than that.

Do you really believe this is true? I think a number of teams would be interested in Horford. Perhaps you're joking.

I would say it's safe to say this is tongue and cheek, especially considering what we'd be giving up.

Sorry. The more frustrated I get with certain types of posts (not JC's post that I responded to) the more my comments become tinged with sarcasm. I think quality power forwards are very difficult to acquire. Quality big men are a precious commodity and it's unlikely you'll find one just waiting to be given away. I'm not saying we shouldn't be trying to find one I just think management's search needs to be viewed with reason.

Expect the best. Work for the best. Achieve the best. Despite a commissioner who wants them spoon-fed to the Lakers or Celtics for the sake of ratings.

How many more games does Gentry have in his 10 game "sticky rotation" plan? Is he going to keep it like this? Starters are gelling, that's what is important. That bench used to be the bomb, now it is just party popper. Dragic is streakier that a homeless mans draws. I like kinda like Warrik's game as of late. The Polish layup is worth watching just to wait for it.... witness the Polish layup.
We are winning, the Knicks victory was really sweet. If we can get some production from the bench, might be able to hang with the better squads. Don't wanna burn Nash with too many minutes, we might get around a 6 seed play-off spot if we keep playing. LOLopez, who knows? Never know which Frye will show up but he is more consistant than floppin Robin. Vince Carter turned it up for his 20 Gs game, he new sportscentr was watching. It would be nice if he played like that more often.
Hill and Dudley, no complaints here.
