Long time Phoenician!
I like it! As I posted previously, why play them all in Arizona Cactus League Spring Training parks and not also in Florida Grapefruit League Spring Training parks?
The only problem could be the prevalence in rain on the East coast. Maybe they just cancel rained out games, being that it will be an abbreviated season anyway.
It continues the concept of Leagues and Divisions. And I like that it would incorporate the universal Designated Hitter concept, which I've opposed from the start,
but have given in to, considering every pro and school league throughout the world (except the U.S. National League and in Japan) is using it. This could be the
motivator to make it permanent going forward.
And it has the availability of Major League domed stadiums in both the Cactus and Grapefruit Leagues for all post-season play.
Congratulations to MLB for being one of the few bureaucracies in our country to use common sense.
And as a D-backs fan, it would put us in a Division with the Giants, Rockies, A's and Cubs. Not the Dodgers. Cool!
