I'm in as long as it doesn't cost them a #2

I do prefer trading for Jimmy G because he's ready to play other than the familiarity with the offense
No.please stop with this unsuccessful trades
May we have a chance to get a good qb from draft
Garappolo is a big bet

WHY? What has he proven? Remember Kevin Kolb? Somehow he was given a long-term contract, even though he had a year left on the current one he was acquired with, and look how that turned out.

If Jimmy G is the real deal, he's not going anywhere, NFW that Belichick lets him out of NE if he can play, especially with Brady already pushing 40. If they let him hit the market or trade him, some idiot team will grossly overpay, and probably live to regret it.

There was an article that the Browns were making a trade offer for him. They have 2 first rounders this year so it could be an easy trade. Use number one on Garrett & trade #12 for Jimmy G.

Nope. He's not the same as Kolb. Look at his college stats & his pro stats. The kid is accurate & smart. Can read defenses. He would look awesome in Cardinal Red. Bring him to learn the offense until Palmer retires & we won't miss a beat.

Who were the "multiple places" on Twitter?

At what point does "very interested" morph into "willing to trade up for?"

The multi source aspect coupled with a willingness to trade up - sounds more like a writer "thinking out loud" and his/her speculation becoming part of the social media echo chamber.

It all boils down to: Do BA/SK feel Watson is worth more than a #13?

They are either going to have to pay him big money (which the Pats don't do) or trade him & get something in return. He's going to be a FA before Brady retires. BB will probably retire at the same time & not give a crap who the QB is afterwards.

Edit: Garoppolo is way better than Kolb. Has a history of accuracy. Put up very good numbers in college. Has proven he can play under the lights in prime time.

If the Browns do get Garoppolo then they are well on their way to being a legit franchise. They've drafted some talented players over the last few years & they traded for a couple as well.

I would be all over moving up for Watson but I would also trade our first for Jimmy G every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

I would never want to trade up for Watson. I'm not sure if I want him or not--I probably wouldn't complain if we drafted him at 13. I just don't want to spend more picks for him. A 1st for Jimmy G would be great, IMO.

CP is back for at least a year. Jimmy G is under control for only 2 years. Watson would be signed for 5. I can't picture the Cards trading up to get him. I can't picture the Cards paying a steep price for 2 years of JG.

Teams don't hit on draft picks as much as you think. The odds of getting 3 starters out of a draft are just unlikely. The last pick in the second round has a 50% bust rate. I like the idea of building the draft, but it is so much harder than anyone thinks. WE can have all the talent in the world but if we end up in a Max Hall QB type situation it wont matter. The QBoF has to be addressed this offseason. You don't have to get Tom Brady. QB's go at a premium. In regards to Garoppolo I'd give up our first because he's likely to be the best QB at that draft position. There is actual NFL game film on him. He has trained under Brady, and Bill. Of course there is the chance he is a system QB, but 1st round QB's dont translate to often.

Mark Sanchez, Vince Young, Rex Grossman, Byron Leftwich, Jason Campbell, Josh Freeman, Joey Harrington, David Carr, Kyle Boller, Patrick Ramsey, JP Losman, Weeden, LEINART, Tim Tebow, EJ Manuel, Jake Locker, Manziel, Brady Quinn, Jamarcus Russell.....

So looking at the link above, and those QB's. IS Garoppolo worth it. Yes

I just don't like the idea of trading up. How often has a big trade up actually worked. The only one I can think of is Julio jones. But I can think of a ton of bust trade ups (RGIII, Manziel, Leaf, Goff, Sanchez, Bortles, etc...). The list goes on and that's just off the top of my head.

I can see the Cards drafting Watson if he falls to their selection but not trading to get him. Now, if they believe he is a franchise QB, not just intrigue, then you bet they will be wiling to trade a second for him and in retrospective, if Dallas knew what Prescott was... they would have moved up to first

I don't think there is any question that addressing the QB position is one of the team's top and most immediate priorities.

There is some merit to Ryan Clark's assessment on ESPN of Carson Palmer. If you haven't seen this, check it out:

Write the essence of his statement cause I can't watch the video right now :)

I've seen Watson picked 3rd., 23rd., 25th. and completely out of the first round. One mock has us taking Trubisky, who is first QB taken, several have us taking Kizer, then I saw one where Kizer was taken #2 and Watson #3 with Trubisky #12. I guess that shows how much of a crap shoot the draft is.

Any trade for Jimmy G would have to include a contract extension, IMO, for this very reason.
