End of an era.

#AzCardinals cut four, including RB Ryan Williams. Saves more than $1M on cap, and in the end, probably wouldn’t rise up depth chart.

Really, really feel bad for the kid. Huge heart, glass body. Good luck to him.

Was hoping he'd at least get a shot... but the fact they cut him means he wasn't going to get that shot. Good luck to him, but I hope he doesn't become Hearst/Jones v3 for another team (don't think he will - but would be a shame to see that scenario play out again)

I have no idea why they kept him on the roster all year last year but kept him inactive for every game. Made no sense at the time and still doesn't make sense now.

I'm glad he was able to make a little money with all of those injuries. Best of luck to him in the future.

I figured he would get one last shot. I was wrong. I think Housler is next.

Wow. Didn't expect that. Seem kind of thin heading into training camp at the RB position.

I hope he does, but I just hope he does it somewhere outside our division.

I feel sorry for him but we knew it was coming.
Another high draft pick wasted!

Lasting memory of him is coughing up the 4th qtr fumble against the Patriots... yet still we pulled off the win.

He will go somewhere... extremely motivated and Barry Sanders will re-emerge

Call me crazy but I really thought he was going to make a comeback. They must anticipate some cuts around the league or be really high on someone they signed over the weekend.

Hey Cardiac! You knew this post was coming. :p

Ryan Williams joins the illustrious list of RBs taken in the second round by the Cardinals. Since 1960 not one of their 2nd round RBs has ever panned out for the Cards. NONE!

Williams
Arrington
McElroy
Levy
Anthony Thompson
Tony Jeffery
Theotis Brown
George Franklin
Jim Germany*

* Jim Germany never played in the NFL instead going to the CFL where he became a star RB playing on 5 Grey Cup Championship teams.

Cards thought he was perfectly healthy to participate in offseason workouts last year. Every single test that a guy goes through for their knees came up negative, yet he still kept himself out of practice and even got some sort of plasma injection from his own personal doctors. IMO Coaches thought he was being a wuss and the scouting staff wanted to give him one last shot. Took a year but the coaches finally won.
