Just, for record-keeping purposes: Who among you have actually seen the 2004 New Orleans Saints play in a game, either on person or TV? Not counting highlights; I mean every down play.

I have, and their defense is bad, real bad.....I think they are worse at stopping the run than us!!!

Their offense is pretty potent. No better than New England or St. Louis though.

I have. They haven't been all that impressive - they got crushed at home by the Seahawks and they should have killed the Rams, but didn't. They are a good team - no doubt - but they are ripe for an upset. Aaron Stecker is garbage IMO and this will finally be the game that our D stops the run.

I also think DG's coaching superiority will finally come into play here - especially at home. NFL teams on the whole are not good road teams and I think Haslett does less with mroe than talent than anyone this side of Mike Martz.

I have watched them. I disagree on their defense. It isnt that bad and their front 4 is solid. They held Faulk down last week and put pressure on Bulger.

Also, Michael Lewis is scary returnign punts. He can and will break one. The Cards cant slack off here.

Offensivley Stecker is crap. He may get 200 yards against the Cards but he is nothing special. Brooks is good but makes serious mistakes and throws into coverage if pressured. Joe Horn and Stallworth are formidable so the Cards HAVE to put pressure on Brooks early and often!

That's exactly what I kept repeating to myself while I was watching the San Fran/New Orleans tilt two weeks ago. It was just bad. You look at their defensive line personnel, and you think that they ought to be the best this side of Carolina, but they continually underperform. It's weird. I just kept thinking "no one does less with more..."

The key to the game is obviously going to be Aaron Brooks. If he can build on that performance against the STL, this game isn't going to be close. But if he keeps up his pattern of uneven performances, especially after big games, then the Cards might be able to win this one.

I totally disagree with you on Aaron Stecker, though. The Rams D isn't so bad as to give up over 100 yards to "garbage". He's definitely better than anyone on the Arizona roster, including the IR list. Is anyone going to confuse him with Tomlinson? Of course not, but I might rather have Stecker than say, Rudi Johnson or even William Green.

Did you see them? Because I'm wondering how you were able to watch and speak intelligently on both the first and third Cardinal and Saints games, considering they were both on at the same time. I'm also not taking into consideration Falcons games, which I'm sure you never miss.

dude - they gave up 87 yards to EMMITT - on only 16 carries. Sorry to say, but at this point in Emmitt's career, he's garbage. They also gave up soemthing like 200 plus yards to the Falcons - including TJ Duckett who can't even get off the bench - for 52 yards on 9 carries. The Rams rushing D makes VERYONE at this point look like an all pro. Stecker doesn't worry me as much as Dunn, Vick, Faulk or Dillon did - I think we finally get a break here . . . but that largely depends on if Josh can take his "caring" and equate that into TDs.

Stecker sure is a stud.

He's averaging a little over 100 yards per year rushing over his career. WOW. He raised his per year rushing average by 20 yards, last week alone!

He's a converted kick returner.

If King were starting, I'd be predicting a victory. I think McCown still has another 2-3 rookie level performances in him so I'm picking the Aints.

Aints 24
Cards 13

I saw all of the Saints-49er game, because I live in the Bay Area, and it was the "early" game (Before the bars open). I saw most of the Saints-Rams game because I found a bar that opened early (The Davis Graduate is some fun times) and was watching both the Cards-Falcs game on wide-screen HDTV and the Saints-Rams game (especially overtime) on the HDTV projector.

I can't really speak intelligently on the first Cards game, because I only saw the fourth quarter, but I saw all of the Cards-Pats tilt. The 49ers-Falcs game was over the air, so I watched that one in the afternoon after the Cards game in Week 1. I didn't see any of the Rams-Falcs game.

That's not what I said. This is his first time starting after being buried behind Dunn and Alstott in Tampa, then behind McAllister in New Orleans. This has really been his chance to perform as a feature back. He's not specactular in any aspect of the game, but he's pretty solid in all of them.

Isn't Josh Scobey a converted kick returner? People are calling for him to get the starting nod over Emmitt. What's the difference.

Stecker was buried behind Dunn, Allstott, Pittman, and Jones in Tampa.

Two of those guys couldn't cut it HERE.

So, I find it hard to believe that he's better than EVERYONE on our roster ...like you said Kerouac.

We'll see.

I'm picking them to win for the 1st time in my Yahoo pick 'em league - home dogs only by 3 now - started at 4.5.
Then again - I haven't won a football pool in 30+ games...

Look up Brock Forseys stats before he played us. Hell the AZ Cards are known for giving up hundreds of yards to nobodies. What does your point prove at all?

Anyone know where Brock Forsey is at the moment? Id hate to see him sign at the last minute and run for another 400 yards on us!

Forsey is a Dolphin as of 2 days ago. No worries. :)

Saints 13 Cards 10.

McCown is benched again after another awful game and King comes in. Doesn't help though since the entire Cardinal offense sucks not just McCown.
