So where is that goof gonna end up and for how much? Lets see..He turns good money to play for a contender with the Suns THEN he turns down more money to play for the Raptors after he seemingly had a deal with them. WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THIS GUY?

I know Salmon swim upstream to spawn but no one is going to wanna mate with him after this fiasco. That fish seems cooked!

Actually salmon swim upsteam to spawn and then die, they never make it back to the ocean. The guy sounds like a real headcase, maybe popovich will take a gamble, he's desperate for young swing players.

My guess is that he originally wanted to come to Phoenix, but his agent convinced him otherwise. Then he thought about it for himself and decided he didn't want to play in Toronto.

This is exactly what I do not want to happen. As D'antoni is so adverse to acquiring big men, I wish the Suns could acquire him, just to keep him away from Popovich who likes big players as well. Popovich does not need both.

The Spurs definitely do not need more talent.

Wow, with both Toronto and Phoenix picking up players, it looks like Salmons just lost himself a ton of money by not taking either deal.

I have to say, that's funny. I spent two summers working in Alaska, so that joke means a bit more to me than most.

Salmons must have something serious going on, otherwise he wouldn’t turn down this money. I’m a Sixer fan second behind a Suns fan and I’ve seen him play several times. He’s nothing special in my opinion. I wouldn’t even try to compare him to Banks. We got very lucky here.

D'antoni is not adverse in picking up big men, they tried to aquire him before, he decided to play somewhere else, how is that adverse?

D'antoni is not adverse to picking up big men, he just prefers bigmen that play his style. Which is not post up, dribble, kick out. That style is dead.

Since when and how is Salmon considered a big man?

His bigger than most of the others on the Suns. ;)

Cotton used to say he would only take one player on his roster each year that could look him eye-to-eye. The reason for the single exception, he said, is in case he needed an extra change of clothes on the road.

I can't think of anyone who played for Cotton who was that short, though. Maybe Craig Hodges?

Was KJ too short? He was 6'1" and not 1/4" more. If not, thats not much of a height restriction for the NBA, 6'1" or bigger.

It would be interesting to know what actually happened. Salmons may be head case, but this situation is more bizzare than any of late I can think of.

Maybe he was promised lots of minutes in Toronto but they signed Jones from Indy.
