Five of the eight position players in today's D-backs batting order are hitting .233 or less. I hope we can put some hits together vs. the Pod's funky lefty.

Corbin, our starting pitcher is hitting .286 (2/7) and is one of the hottest pitchers in the Majors.

Dbacks with three runs (so far) in the 4th. Ahmed.190 did his thing vs. a lefty with a 2-run HR.

Now 4-0. Corbin with an RBI single. I think Corbin is now hitting .333 -- 3/9. He should be batting sixth in the lineup. :)

San Diego with a 2-out 2-run homer in the 6th. Corbin finishes with 100 pitches.

The Padres lose 4-2. Had just three hits and struck out 15 times.

Looking at our batting averages, well, this is just amazing. Hopefully we can keep it up.

#Dbacks beat the Padres 4-2 and have now won all 7 series to start the season. Off Monday and then open 3-game series in Philly.

More to offense than avg.
True, but if carry the same averages over the course of the season, are we a playoff team? I’m just talking offense, not pitching. Interested to hear your take.

So .... Corbin?

Dude looks like the best pitcher in baseball right now and I'm not sure what to think about it.

I'm scared he may be to much for the Dbacks to resign next year if he continues to play this well.

Says the small market team. You can bet the Giants, Doyers, Red Sox and more will drive his price up. I really wish we had some kind of salary cap in baseball.

After hearing the Corbin interview on 98.7 last week, I absolutely expect him to leave. The Yankees tried trading for him in the offseason and that's his favorite team. He's gonna get paid regardless but would probably take a slight discount to play in NY. I'd rather let him walk than overpay another pitcher. Let's make another playoff push and then rebuild.

Sure, if a team can keep their walks and power up and get a bit lucky with RISP they can be a pretty powerful offense without carrying a high team avg.

The returns of Lamb and Souza will play a large part in that. Two power bats for the heart of the order. Unfortunately there have been delays, then they will need time to get in game condition.

Goldy has been bad more than good. And our new power hitting Catcher has been anything but that. Pollock, since his move from 2nd in the order to cleanup has been our only consistent middle of the lineup hitter.

Thank goodness for our starting and relief pitchers.
