That throw to Floyd was money. Was he perfect? No, has he been all season? No, but the dude gets a pass from me dealing with our patchwork offensive line. We are 10-5 with Palmer under the helm.

Probably still hurting from that hit last week, too.

I was afraid he was going to be out for the year after that.

Seattle has the top defense in the NFL (well, not really...we do) and our OL is putrid. That one pick in the endzone should have been caught once the Dude made the difficult adjustment and it bounced off his hands (his hands, both of them). Some where panic throws but he had a reason to panic. An announcer, a idiot named Timm Ryan, saying he should have dumped the ball off to Ellington on one play is laughable because his right side was filled with defenders and had no way to chunk it over that. He did not play a great game but seldom does any QB not named Wilson in that stadium. Man was hurt, punished today and even took off running when hurt. That throw to Floyd was money :)

He made 2 huge throws when it counted. I give him a pass with this line. He was the best we could get this year. And he has both won us some and cost us some. BASK are the real deal. Huge roster turnover and still here we are! Loving this season after the dreck of the last few and wasting good defensive seasons. We finally have the right guys running things!

He's not the long term answer and he has thrown a lot of picks this year, but he has made some huge throws when we needed it. I know it's easy for us to jump on CP when he throws a pick but he doesn't have the greatest line to work with. Some of his interceptions are on him, some were rushed because of pressure. I think if we draft a young QB and fix the offensive line, we can get a couple more years out of CP until our QB of the future is ready to go.

He is the answer for the next two years point blank. Again, who the hell has a great game in Seattle and people tend to forget he had a ton of great games of late prior to this and playing hurt today in Seattle...a 106 QB rating comes to mind. If one thinks all our victories came from the defense, then our record would be crappy as when we had a great defense and a crap QB last season

Last year Skelton threw 4 picks and the Cards lost 58-0. This year Palmer throws 4 picks and Cards win 17-10.

You gotta love Cardinal football.

I agree but this is the draft to get a QBOF in the first round and let him sit and learn the system.

Palmer made some piss poor decisions with the football out there today.

There is nothing wrong with throwing the ball through the goalposts on 3rd down when you are already in FG range. If the D hadn't played out of their minds today we would have lost. Plain and simple.

That said the guy is tough as nails and I respect the hell out of him. He just needs to make MUCH better decisions with the football than he did today for us to really go anywhere.

In a win or go home scenario 4 INTs is going to cause you to go home many more times over than it it going to lead to a win. We were very fortunate today.

I'm not saying do not draft one if you feel you have a QB there when you pick, I just have no tolerance for anyone who wants to throw what Palmer has done for us under the bus. It would be nice to draft a young guy and he could learn like Rodgers did as Palmer plays :)

The O line did not play that badly today. They only broke down a few times against a defense everyone else in the league has problems with. Palmer did not have a good game. Three of the interceptions were his fault for bad judgment. Just chalk it up to a bad game and hope it's replaced by his best game against the Niners next week.

Well said JG , some might look at 4 int's and say Palmer played lousy , but that is just a circumstances stat . Trust this folks , if palmer played as lousy as that stat sounds , there is no way in hell we would have won that game .

No kidding, lol. Never would have known that Palmer threw four picks by the score.

Good topic.

The Oline played pretty darn well against one of the top D's in all of the NFL. I liked how BA kept running the rock, when he clearly saw Palmer wasn't having one of his best days!!!

I don't know about the offensive line playing well or Palmer an 11 year veteran QB not being able to pick up blitzes but today's game reminded me of an old fashioned 1960's Woody Hayes or Darryl Royal game and Arians played it to perfection.

Or Thesmel's wacky wishbone with 1 pass all game. ;)

Hey, at least Palmer hit the big 1 with the game on the line! Wow what a throw that was.

I believe there wasn't another QB available this year except Alex Smith that would have us at 10-5.

Don't get me wrong. I have yelled at him thru the TV many times this year. However, he has been unflappable. He seems to have a short memory and I think that bonds this offense.

He is definitely your starting QB next year. Doesn't mean we can't draft a QBOF, but he definitely bought us some time.

You always need to look to improve your roster, especially at the QB position. Regardless of that, he will be on our roster in 2014.
