Whisenhunt is letting St. Pierre hang himself. That should end the debate as to who the backup is.

I think you are right, but I would like to see Matt get some game reps.

Agree w/#1. And what is even worse is that Matty needs more reps.

But #2, I am not sure about. Lance Long is great and has an incredible work ethic. He could make a #3 on almost any other team in the NFL and maybe even a #2. Don't get me wrong, I would love to have him on this team but NFL careers are so short that if he is buried as a #6 not really good for him.

BSP threw that last pass in to triple coverage and high...only player who had a chance to catch it was a Charger. I thought the hit caused the bad throw but the replay shows he threw it before the hit...no wonder the guy has only 1 pass in his NFL career, the shock is he has stuck around as a 3rd stringer for so long. Maybe if we cut him quick he can get picked up by the UFL

There was a lot of pressure. To his credit, he felt it and moved to extend the play.

He's playing for a job, so I don't blame him for trying to make things happen. In a real game situation you want to see a QB eat it, though.

I'll bet he has a wicked headache after that hit, BTW. His head really snapped backwards.

Anyone remember when Fitz had a man to beat last year vs the Dolphins? I think the CB caught up to him and tackled him, Boldin made fun of him like no other for not beating him, and Fitz seemed to have gained speed like he hadnt shown in his career before.

Was said in a previous thread. Whis doesn't want to get Matt hurt with the 3rd team O. He did his work week 1 and BSP sucked it up both weeks. Was supposed to be BSP's chance for redemption.
