Not sure how anyone can question Dansby's intangibles when he was consistently was named Captain of the Defense and was the on field play caller. Dude, just put $ in the offseason above everything else, but on the field and in the locker room during the season, not sure you could ask for a much better guy.

And how did K9 show Witherspoon was just as good in coverage as Los? He isn't near the playmaker at that level, which K9 backed up with stats.

Go look at the apples to apples comparison. Weatherspoon had better numbers at same point in career with 8 passes defensed rather then 5. Los is a better playmaker that I agree with. Im only using the info given to me.

I dont think Dansby is nearly the leaders you guys do but I digress. Dont feel like he helped younger players, chased money over winning TWICE, and was a lazy fool here in Miami. I just dont think being named a captain automatically means you have great intangibles but this is a fool hardy exercise. I have my opinion and the majority has theres. No love lost for Karlos over here.

But you're ignoring the info that Los had 3 INTs to 0 for Weatherspoon at that point which basically means he had the same amount of defended passes AND converted 3 of them into turnovers which are even more important.

Thought I remember an Urban article when Los left talking about how Los took a lot Of the young guys under his wing and was a teacher for a lot of them in te locker room.

Weatherspoon is a fast run stuffing defender. He is superior to Karlos in that aspect based on what I have seen. He is also good in coverage. As witnessed by his 8 passes defensed.

Karlos is a PROVEN playmaker. This I do not deny. He is superior to Spoon here, but thats also not typically the calling card for a great ILB anyway. But i dont get how you look at that stat line and walk away no brainer Dansby is the better player at the same point. Think its pretty even.

Now factor in the money. I like Spoon and I think in a prove it year, hes gonna win over a lot of fans. Very quickly.

Los was a huge leader here, both stints.

He also had 17 more tackles! Hence why i say its pretty even. ILB's are valued for their ability to get downhill and tackle. My dude is a specialist here.

(anyone else impressed with the proper use of apostrophes??)

Kevin Minter specifically said that Dansby texted him after he signed with Cleveland to wish him the best of luck. Said that Dansby was a constant teacher who taught him now to be a pro.

Too bad that kid's bad at football.

Maybe. Heres article on Spoon that is from 2 days ago.

Definite strength of his.

Why are we even discussing Karlos? He gone baby. We dont get to choose between the two. Long live SPoon!

Ha good thing I dont get offended by personal attacks ;)

I did bring it up saying he couls have similar type impact. I guess I was naive thinking it wouldnt devolve into a Dansby Vs Weatherspoon debate which to Shanes point is pointless. We cant have em both.

EDIT: I did say he was better than Dansby if he stays on the field. Fire away I guess.

ESPN article above:

He let me use his hyperbaric chamber at his house.

Maybe I'm ignorant about the benefits of hyperbaric chambers, but this made me laugh.

Now if he has a chimpanzee named Bubbles...

Necessary???

I don't know. I don't think that it's necessary to drop someone's name, be called out on inaccuracy, then retreat into "Well, I'm biased against this guy, and why are we talking about him anyway?"

I actually drew a similar comparison on a different thread saying that if we close this deal, it's as good as when we brought Dansby in. But you can't drop some nonsense, get called out on it, and then openly wonder why people are talking about someone else.

k9 - The peoples champion.

The best part is how he said he made a similar comment in the other thread but jumps all over me for AGREEING with the same sentiment. But just cant not be the contrarian and pick a side depending on if you like the poster or not, now can you? No foundation of what you believe. Just like to argue points.

So you think it was necessary to call him a name because of what he said? Just think that through....
