If Weatherspoon is signed only to a 1 year contract, should we still draft an inside linebacker in the first few rounds? Kevin Minter is looking like a bust and Daryl Washington can't be counted on.

Potentially, this is like signing Karlos Dansby in his prime.

Not sure people realize how good this guy is. Its a one year deal and who knows if hell play 16 games. But he is better than Dansby when he is on the field. Youll see.

Actually, I said it in this thread. And I stand by the difference between the two posts.

So you think it was necessary to call him a name because of what he said? Just think that through....

If the name had teeth and the hypocrisy not so delicious, I think it would be objectionable. But is "********" really a personal attack or an escalation in the context of this thread? AZF was holding onto a position that was increasingly untenable based on evidence, and then wondered why we were talking about a subject that he raised.

I don't really see this as being different than me saying that someone's post is balderdash, poppycock, hogwash, or any of the other old-timey, dismissive, meant-in-love comment.

Imagine it being said by this guy:

Yes, that is the whole basis of giving a guy a one year deal, in my opinion, knowing if he does good he will not stay and it gives your rookie some time so you do not have to try and fill the position next season :)

I think it's a great signing as long DW isn't D-Washing Spoon in the showers after a game. Or Spoon isn't spooning D-Wash in the showers. Saw an opening had to take it haha. The Cards wanted speed at linebacker they got it. If we can have them both on the field all year they should be playing well by time the playoffs roll around. If we sign an OLB like Houston or Orakpo to go along with Okafor this defense should be top five.

I don't personally take offense to it, but some will.

It's different because in that case you are calling his post dumb (or whatever word you decide to use) and that is far from the same as directly calling someone a name.

Though I would personally laugh a little if someone called me "********", but that's just me.

I love that word...however it does require the person using that word to know the actual condition of someone else's nuts, right? Otherwise it would be pure speculation. ;)

eh... I thought ******** was a tad excessive, but I think those guys are secretly in love with each other anyway and enjoy the back and forth (no pun intended).

I hope so. Washington can't be counted on and Weatherspoon is a pretty big risk.

Ok. Me saying better than Dansby and you saying like getting Dansby in his prime is WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY different. You were totally in the right there.

Actually whenever I read your posts, I think of this guy
