I'm not one to usually criticize Steve Finley, however, with him representing the tying run w/1-out in the top of the 9th, why do you swing at the first pitch? He obviously hit a foul pop-up for the 2nd out.... He's typically a much savy hitter than that....

Also, I wonder why McCracken is starting over Hammock? Hammock was excelling the last couple weeks, but has been benched the past 2-games.....

Oh well, I still believe in this team and I hope they can return back to winning ways soon......

Webb pitches tomorrow and I'll be happy with a split. I am not worried at all. After the Dodger series the Diamondbacks return to BOB where they are an excellent hitting team. Some of the players will be back, including Curt so the atmosphere should be electric. This team is only 2 games behind the Phillies for the wild card and six behind the Giants. Don't ever give up!

Do you guys think maybe Shea should play a few games in Tucson so he can get his timing down on his swing? I don't know the answe to that one so I thought I would ask.

Yeah, probably Shea returned back too prematurely... It seems that he's been pressing the past couple games... They should give Shea the day off tomorrow and re-insert Hammock back into the line-up....

Great news, the Giants are losing to the Cardinals 8-0 in the top of the 3rd.

The Giants lost 9-5 and the Phillies are losing 2-0 but it's still early, they're only in the second inning.

Shea playing first allowing Hammock to be at third. I like that line-up. Brandon Webb needs to keep pitching as well as he has. Let's hope they can get the split.

Back-2-back for Shea and Robby....Let's hope Shea has rediscovered his swing and that Brenly somehow manages to keep Robby in the line-up on a regular basis.....

Everyone is hitting. Chad with a 2-run single. Gonzo with smart running to keep the inning alive. 7-0.

Webb is offially the MLB ERA leader as of this moment. For every inning more he goes it will last that long.

Webb is the real deal. Curt, Randy, Batista and Webb. That is a very good rotation.

Uh, Webb is absolutely sickening. Can't even describe the talent this kid has. Simply awesome.

Diamondbacks win! If the Dodgers lose they're in second. MVP goes to Webb. Props also go to Finley, Moeller and Hammock. On to LA and hoping to take at least two but why not three.

Second place! Let's hope they can take the series against the Dodgers and the Padres take care of business against the Giants.

My wife and I are actually staying home tonight, rather than going to watch fireworks, just so we can see the D'Baks/Dodgers game.

Sick.

Ishii is 4 - 0 with a 2.06 at Dodger stadium this year. Miguel needs to bring his A game tonight.

I like this line-up against Ishii and the Dodgers. Shea once again is at first.
